rodneykm (109), Westminster, South Carolina, USA Nov 17, 2007 Updated: Nov 27, 2007I was surprized the cinnamon wasn’t as strong as I thought it was going to be. Very clean tasting. Sorta reminds me of an Octoberfest style beer but I was able to drink more than one or two (with Octoberfest it gets to be to much after 2 - too sweet of a taste). LOVE it and will definitely make this a winter tradition from here on out. obguthr (986), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Nov 17, 2007 Chestnut aroma, lightly roasted. Clear copper with a thick tan head, nice lacing. Light body, nutty taste tending to be a little tinny. Weak lemon grass finish. I would never have guessed it is a bock or a weizen! jobyone (234), Charlotte, USA Nov 17, 2007 Pours Dark Amber with small off white head. Aroma has fruit and spices. The taste is sweet and it is a bit harder to taste the spice. Body is a bit on teh light side. eyesandsmiles (179), Mission Viejo, California, USA Nov 17, 2007 Somewhat spicy. Works for winter. Nothing distasteful. One of Sam Adam’s best mass produced beers? Probably. Allie (40), USA Nov 15, 2007 This is the second Sam seasonal I have tried, and just as good as the Oktoberfest. It comes in the usual well designed Sam bottle. It poured with a foamy, off-white head that sank but left fair lacing. The body color was a light red copper, quite pleasing to the eye. The aroma was pleasant, sourish and fruity-sweet. The flavor was warm and quite bitter. The hops are fairly strong to my taste, but not excessively so. It was complex and the hops and malt blended well. The palate was OK, with a bit of a bite on the throat going down. No gross dregs. The usual nice job from Sam Adams. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 15, 2007 On tap. Rathy bland winter ale. Some spice, watery. not much body. Comes off as the mass produced product that it is docsteigs (139), USA Nov 14, 2007 Nice malty smell. Attractive light brown-orange. Tastes sweet with wheat apparent. Clean finish DeadGuyFrank (347), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Nov 14, 2007 Malted wheat, malted wheat, malted wheat. Classic german style winter wheat bock style beer, smooth tasting a weighted light drinking lager. Beautiful amber with nice cloudy head.
