BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Nov 10, 2007 From bottle : What a beautiful pour on this bad boy. Drank out of a Weizen, gives a big two and a half finger wide head, a white rocky head. Dark copper color with a generous amount of slow moving carbonation. Complex malts on the nose, caramel, wheat, and maybe some bread dough, and spices. All that hype, then the flavor really lets down. A little watery, exp. for something that is suppose to be enjoyed in the cold weather. Yeasty and wheat flavor with a hint of spice. Great look, but not much for taste. DaMenace123 (250), Houston, Texas, USA Nov 10, 2007 Clear copper color, good head and lacing. Smells of caramel malt. Flavor is of spices, and malt. Meh. SavageElvis (134), Savage, Minnesota, USA Nov 9, 2007 12 oz. bottle redish dark with a tan head. Nice caramel aroma. A little hop dominated by spicy malt. Another very nice product from the little/big brewer. douglas88 (1556), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Nov 8, 2007 Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a decent off-white head. The taste is great; quite a lot of spices, wheat, some bitterness from hops, and a balanced malt flavor. Really nice, smooth and tasty. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Nov 7, 2007 Updated: Dec 22, 2008This is quite a beautiful beer. Both looks and aroma. Caramel malt dominates the sweet nose, with a touch of the brown sugar. The taste is pretty good. Yeasty, with some dry hops coming through, and a nice clean finish. A very safe, solid beer that probably would have rated higher if from a smaller craft brewery. Optigon (561), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Nov 6, 2007 Pours clear, tan, with a light, moderate head. Mildly spicy aroma. Flavor is very malty with some qualities of caramel. Reminds me a lot of other german weizen bocks I’ve had. Not too bad. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA Nov 6, 2007 Bottle. Pours a darker reddish brown with minimal head. Aroma is nearly non existent, I had to check my nose to make sure it worked. Flavor is equally light, with some caramel, some malt, and when searching for it I find the wheat. Not really all that spicy but there is some there. Finish is short and empty. Palate is light, faintly carbonated. This is weizen bock light at best. Dunkelstar (14), Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 5, 2007 Not too bad, pours a nice copper color with a slight head. Has a spicy aroma, slight citrus hint. Palate is not bitter, nutmeg, spice flavor. Nice after taste, slight hints of hoppiness. Not too bad.
