livelaughlovep (96), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Apr 4, 2009 Nice winter warmer. Has a spiced taste, good thick mouthfeel. Has a splendid roasty malty quality.
Smooth brew. I vastly prefer Great Lakes Brewery’s Christmas Ale, but this is not bad. Very welcomed in my winter variety pack. jimmay (179), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Apr 4, 2009 On tap at HSBC Arena. Pours dark brown with little head. A little flat. Mild aroma of malt, and similar taste. Dedent enough. AndyReynolds (280), Wilder, Kentucky, USA Apr 2, 2009 Draft at a Friday’s. Poured a clear amber. Aroma was malts and yeast with a tad bit of hops. It had notes of dark fruit, spice, and maybe caramel. The taste reminded me of a spiced Boston Lager. The finish had a small bitter bite to it. shawnm213 (884), South Bend, Indiana, USA Mar 30, 2009 refreshing bock. GF likes it. drinkable is right. not a bad fall beer. who knows linc33 (177), Albany, New York, USA Mar 30, 2009 Widely available, on tap and in bottle. A good, drinkable fall/winter beer, but would probably be difficult/undesirable to drink more than one at a time. I generally have one on tap near the start of Winter and that’s it. Not a favourite. joeneugs (289), Livermore, California, USA Mar 25, 2009 Reddish amber pour with a light brown head. Spiced apple yeasty aroma with a touch of chocolate and spices. Light to medium bodied. Taste is of spices, a touch of caramel and toffee and a hint of dark fruit (cherries?) with a woody bitter finish. A pleasant beer, just a bit dull. angrypirate06 (680), Texas, USA Mar 23, 2009 Bottle. Pours an off white head that receded quickly and a caramel colored body. Notes of malts and caramel, and the taste was caramel, burnt malts, and almost a coffee flavor on the back end. Fizzy and bubbly mouhtfeel. nefarious (202), Clarkston, Michigan, USA Mar 12, 2009 Malts and spices.....amber color with alot of head. Ginger and spices. Decent brew. intro to craft beer.
