3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TomTron (299) - Aiken, South Carolina, USA - NOV 10, 2012Pours a clear amber with a thin head that dissipates. Aromas of bread, caramel malts, and spice. Taste is rather malty with some spice lingering, mainly ginger and the cinnamon is also detectable. Not getting much citrus as the label indicates as the roasted malts really dominate here. Decent seasonal offering and a beer worthy of sessions.

Clear Dark Brown, Good Head, Some Lacing. Light Bitter Up Front, Sweet Malt Aftertaste, Light Ginger zinger in between. A little thinner body than anticipated, although it has a nice buttery feel. Nothing Spectacular, but OK.

Samuel Adams Winter Lager is a super clear amber beer with a soft, thin, off white head that leaves nice lacing. It has a light aroma of light grain, orange peel and ginger. It has a smooth, medium body with a light, slightly watery finish. The mouth is left just a little gritty. It’s lightly flavored with malt and orange peel. There’s a little bitterness after the swallow. This is where the ginger and cardamom come out. This is just kind of a simple session beer. It doesn’t have a lot of personality, but it’s certainly quaffable.

A nice seasonal from Sam Adams. Nothing to jump up and down about, but a very solid craft beer. Subtle Citrus notes and like spice flavors ... well balanced with the hop bitterness.

Not horrible by any means, but just not a special beer. Pours a dark reddish brown with a frothy head that gives way to some moderate lacing. Aroma is malt with some spices and the taste reflects that but not overpowering. Overall, drinkable for the style but not one I’d go out of my way to drink.

Poured into a tulip glass with a nice amber color and some froth. Taste was nice not to strong but just enough to have some warmth. Enjoyed it.

Bottle at home. Pour is clear amber is appearance with a frothy white head and decent lacing. Biscuity, bready, lightly grassy, wet-dog, somewhat skunked, and grainy aroma. Taste is cereal, straw, grain, lightly toasty, roasted malt, caramel, grassy, and corn with a light bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Meh.

Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, toner av citrusfrukter. Lätt kropp, något krämig i konsistensen med lätt beska.
