COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold and rich, with a touch of holiday spice. The first thing one notices about a Samuel Adams® Winter Lager is the deep ruby color. Then comes the magical aroma which promises something special on the tongue. The cinnamon, ginger, and hint of citrus from the orange peel blend with the roasty sweetness of the malts to deliver a warming, spicy flavor. On the palate Samuel Adams Winter Lager is rich and full bodied, robust and warming, a wonderful way to enjoy the cold evenings that come with the season.

pours a nice redish brown with a little head. This seasonal lager is a nice sweet and malty taste with a good carbonated kick. There are nice seasonal flavors and a bit of sour fruits and dark caramel.

Het heeft een mooie helderrode kleur als je het uitschenkt. De geur en de smaak zijn echter een pak minder. Het is een kruidenbier, goed, maar zet dan niet winter lager op de fles want dan verwacht ik iets anders.

On tap in Clemson. I am starting to appreciate Sam Adams beers. Very balanced with a nice finish. Will get again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a beautiful orange-copper color with a light tan head. Aroma is not very pronounced. Subtle spices with the orange peel coming through the most. medium body. Overall more dry than sweet vaguely similar to an Octoberfest.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear amber body with a thick beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of copper, wood and spices. Flavour of rust, brown sugar and a black cherry finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A nice alternative Lager.

Draft - Watery, with little mouthfeel. Good carbonation. This really feels like a macro.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 12.30.13. A: Red/caramel. Quickly receding head. S: Malt, spices. T: Gingerbread, cinnamon. Spicy on back end. O: This is an average bock. It’s good, but...meh.

Pours a nice color with some nice head retention. Smells malty and of cloves. Tastes similar to the smell. This is sub par at best and would likely pass if offered again.

Dark amber colour with a dark off white short lasting head. Good viscousity. On the nose aromas of malt predominates at first but also some fruity-spice mix appears. Soft texture medium bodied with mainly sweet fruity-malt flavours and a sift hop bitterness. A faint iron note was to be noticed, unfortunately! The finish was medium lasting.

Pours a clear brown/red color with tan head. Full bodied and a wonderful beer to drink by the fire on a cold day
