Ungstrup (11354), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 12, 2002 A very beutiful beer with a dark amber color and a beutiful lasting head. The aroma is very fruity (almost like an ale) and also sweet and spicy. It has a very filling taste with a very complex sweetness - it’s very hard to tell that its been brewed on wheat malt - there are some smoked and caramel notes contained. And it ends on a nice bitterness that lingers. All in all a very fine beer. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 18, 2003 Bottled. Brownish amber with rich, creamy head. Flowery toffee aroma. Sweet, medium boided. Short mouthfeel, weak malt structure. Fruity with motes of plums. Some salty bitterness. Papsoe (10285), Frederiksberg, Denmark Mar 15, 2005 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Light brown beer with a pretty limited head. Spices are not very prominent. But the nice aroma hops shines through. Sweetish, fullbodied beer with som bitterness on the palate. Good choice as a winter session beer. Oakes (6973), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 2, 2000 Updated: Jan 30, 2003Dark amber; aroma shows brown sugar, spice (ginger, orange peel), sweet earthy malt. Earthy, caramelly malts. Good chewy character. Funny that the brewer kept insisting this was a traditional wheat bock, when it is not made with a weizen yeast, and it is spiced with cinnamon, ginger and orange peel! yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 25, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours orange/amber with an off-white head. Toffee and floral notes in the aroma, sweetish. Caramel malty flavoured with a floral bitter hops bite. Finish has a nice solid bitterness. Doesn’t feel like a wheat beer at all.
