| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 2, 2002 Wheat Lager? Minimal nose. Nice copper color with a small bubbled, tall head. Sweet and dry flavors. More alcohol flavors than I prefer. Finishes with a husky grain dryness and a cloying sweet sourness tending towards medicinal. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 9, 2003 Pours a nice dark amber color with nice head and excellent lacing. Aroma is lighty spicy but moderately hoppy with a fruity end. The flavor is very balanced with a light spicy end. This wasn't a bad beer, sam adams has some pretty good offerings for macro. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 6, 2004 Bronzy mid brown colour. Some malt in the aroma, but butterscotch diacetyl too. The flavour is also malty with a distinct autumnal character. Slight sour bite on the finish. I must admit I didn’t pick up that this is a wheat beer until I came to post the rating. Not the most distinguished of beer. Still, it was nice to get the opportunity to pick up a few rates at the airport waiting for the aircraft home. Tap at the Sam Adams bar, Dulles Airport.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 1, 2004 A nice dark bock, with strong malt flavor and an underlying sweetness. This is a good cold weather beer. Lubiere (4557), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 5, 2005 Dark amber bock with a generous light moka head, lacing. Sweet caramel and fruity esters in aroma, like stewed prunes. In mouth, decent sweet malt with light bananas, caramel, and roasted nuts. Short in mouth. Medium bodied. Nice lighter weizenbock. Bottle is about 1 yr old. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/20 | Nov 26, 2002 Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is clear dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain, caramel), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, unclean. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. The usual foul Sam Adams aftertaste and a light simple aroma...micro for the masses. Absolutely ridiculous that this is referred to as a weizenbock.
