3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a deep, almost brown, amber with a small tan head, modest lacing. Aroma is of caramel malt, slight floral notes, and spice. Medium to heavy in sweetness, moderately bitter. Medium body with lively carbonation, slightly oily in texture finishing with lingering bitterness. Overall, pleasant in flavor and feel; a satisfying brew.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bold and rich, with a touch of holiday spice.
The first thing one notices about a Samuel Adams® Winter Lager is the deep ruby color. Then comes the magical aroma which promises something special on the tongue. The cinnamon, ginger, and hint of citrus from the orange peel blend with the roasty sweetness of the malts to deliver a warming, spicy flavor. On the palate Samuel Adams Winter Lager is rich and full bodied, robust and warming, a wonderful way to enjoy the cold evenings that come with the season.
[Special Ingredients: Orange peel, ginger, and cinnamon, 14.3°]

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice brown colour with a respectable light tan head. Faint spicy, clean aroma. Nice, slightly sweet malty taste, with just a hint of spice. Trace alcohol finish. I prefer a bit heavier brew in the winter, but on those occasions when I want something a bit lighter, this will do just fine.

Backlog. Bottle from Systembolaget. This is one of my standard winter-beers, i love it, it’s not overly complex. High drinkability with a nice backbone.
