Bold and rich, with a touch of holiday spice. The first thing one notices about a Samuel Adams® Winter Lager is the deep ruby color. Then comes the magical aroma which promises something special on the tongue. The cinnamon, ginger, and hint of citrus from the orange peel blend with the roasty sweetness of the malts to deliver a warming, spicy flavor. On the palate Samuel Adams Winter Lager is rich and full bodied, robust and warming, a wonderful way to enjoy the cold evenings that come with the season.

On-tap at Uno's. Served mighty cold. First few sips were tasteless. Had to pace myself to let the thing warm up a bit. Not bad. Nice, rich malty flavor. Not spiced. A decent brew.

Hop and malt aroma with a mild hint of spice. Red amber color with a nice off white head and light lacing. Malt, spice, and mild bitterness. Not a bad beer.

Dark red-brown colour, nice fluffy head. Hoppy aroma with some maltiness. Weak notes of gingerbread. Malty and lightly spicy flavour. Mot much hops in here. Finishes a bit watery and malty. Nothing special.

2003 release. Dark reddish brown color, with a decreasing head. Faint aroma of malts and hops. Dissapointed this beer has been much better in the past. Lacks in full-bodied flavor and texture. Seems to me it's just a step above a regular lager.

All in all a decent beer, but a poor example of a weizen bock. Where's the wheat? Deep amber, fruity/floral aroma, some malt flavors but was weak, some bitterness. Drinkable.

Slightly spicy and light, this one is just pretty good. It fails to become spectacular, but it will do.

Good taste, yet missing something on the full lager feel. Pretty bland start, intresting in the mouth, and a afterthought that lasts a little too long. Found my self grabbing snacks off the trays in order to get it off my palate. Okay, but i would stick with SA’s other holiday specials, namely the porter!

Bottle. Pours amber with a white head, not much retention. Aroma isn’t bad, kind of a sweet malt. Taste is of wheat malt, fairly sweet, some yeasty flavors, spices, pretty light considering the alcohol content. Finish is bitter. Okay, but not something I would actively seek out.

ruddy dark copper, very short light tan head that dissapears quickly. faint malt/grain nose. malty sweet flavor, very light spice.
