COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bold and rich, with a touch of holiday spice. The first thing one notices about a Samuel Adams® Winter Lager is the deep ruby color. Then comes the magical aroma which promises something special on the tongue. The cinnamon, ginger, and hint of citrus from the orange peel blend with the roasty sweetness of the malts to deliver a warming, spicy flavor. On the palate Samuel Adams Winter Lager is rich and full bodied, robust and warming, a wonderful way to enjoy the cold evenings that come with the season.

Dark amber in color. All sorts of spices in the air, combined with malts. Very malty and spicy beer. Good beer to drink through-out winter.

Taste- Has a nice toasted malt with a bread flavor, faint taste of sugar and citrus thrown in. Palate- A medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. the beer finishes with a semi-dry hoppiness. Tall draft at Chili's. Darkest beer they have on draft, reddish brown, light tan head. Citrus and spice to the nose follows through to taste, maybe a little orange. Goes good with all the food, always enjoy it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep amber beer with a medium foamy off white head. Nose of light caramel, bread, and cinnamon, but overall it’s pretty faint. Flavor is a bit stronger with something reminiscent of gingerbread giving way to a mild astringent bitterness before a caramel sweetness re-emerges. Pretty good beer, but relatively mild.

I smell spices, cherrry, maybe coffee. There’s a lot going on with the first nosefeel....It is a pretty beer. Color is like overused cooking oil. It poured with little head, but it has pretty thick lacing upon drinking....Taste, it’s complex. Every sip seems to bring out somethinng else. I would argue however that when the taste is too complex, you may find yourself exploring rather than enjoying it.....Mouthfeel is sort of a downer. I would expect more ’body’ from a beer like this. It has a lingering bitterness than eventually finishes sweet, and that’s good, but it just doesn’t feel right.....Overall, it’s a fun beer, and I like it a lot. I always expect Sam Adams to deliver a good beer, and they’ve done it.

Its kinda weird, kinda meh, and kinda good. If this didn’t have the name Samuel Adams on the front I really don’t think it would fly.
