Keg from a SS somewhere in Soho, fills a good gap for them now Alpine is only 2.8%. Not complex in the least but one of the cleanest tasting lagers I’ve ever had, very nicely balanced and the sort of refreshing, easy-drinking beer that you could quaff all day. Like.

Tap at the Princess Louise - London. Pours perfectly clear yellow with a foamy, white head. Lots of biscuity, pale bread in the nose, mild hay. Light sweet flavor with pleasant biscuits, minimal bitterness, light dough. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced to finish, similar traits, more crispy biscuits, mild dough, straw. Extremely drinkable.

Very light blonde, clear, fizzy, bubbly white head
Aroma of slight grassy spicy hop, touch of cardboard
Taste of very light grassy spicy hop, extremely light malts, watery, slightly bitter metallic
Palate - High carb, thin body. Finish - dab of bitterness, bit metallic
Overall - I remember other Sam Smith’s lager better than this. Almost nothing here.

Anchor Tap Sam Smiths, Tower Bridge. Keg. Clear paleish gold beer, small white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with good fine carbonation. Very light pale malt. Mild carbonated bite. Very light touch of citrus. Finishes light. Fresh and refreshing with bready burps (thanks to DruncanVeasey for the notion of rating burps). The old lager swigger in me enjoyed this one.

Cask @ Old Boot Inn, Chester. Well carbonated with a golden-yellow appearance and a thick frothy head. It’s fairly active in the palate but ordinary lager when said and done.

Keg at Sam Smiths Cock Tavern. Pours a very carbonated hazy gold/yellow. Aroma is sweet and slightly corny. Light body, full carbonation. A little wheaty, slightly yeasty with a fair amount of waxy honeycomb. OK., ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
