COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Yeah so I had three Samuel Smith fruit beers so far, which are cherry. raspberry aand apricot. My favourite one is definitely apricot. I don’t even like apricot but I really liked it as fruit beer. Samuel Smith did a real good job on this one. Wonderful :P

[Bottle (550ml)] Pours a clear deep gold with an average size lasting frothy white head and some lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and fruity, maybe a bit tart -- it’s mainly apricot and not much else. Good fruity flavour, mainly apricot along with a bit of grain and malt way in the back. Medium bodied. Simple but pretty good if you are in the right mood.

Bottled @ De Molen 2nd Tuesday Tasting. The aroma has aprikots, some toasted malts. Clear, golden coloured beer with a white head. The taste is sweet, has apricots, some lactic tones there, some toffee maltiness. Not my cup of tea.

Bottle from the LCBO. Clear & bright orange-gold body with a good sized white head. Aroma of apricot nectar and lightly toasted grain. Flavour is a great combo of a clean, simple golden ale and fresh apricot notes that start quite sweet, but develop a nice tartness in the finish, where a bit of Earl Grey tea comes through as well. Really nice stuff - one of the best non-lambic fruit beers I’ve had in quite some time, in fact.

Nice fluffy head with foamy lacing. Aroma of fresh, sweet apricots. Taste is less sweet than the aroma anticipated, but still light and refreshing. Wheat is present as well. Pleasant mouthfeel and good carb. My favorite in their fruit line is still the raspberry, but this is good also. Can’t go wrong with any of them, really.

Bottle. Pours hazy yellow. Very smooth, fruity and balanced. A bit too much punch and too Little beer.

355ml bottle from Bier-Deluxe

Pale yellow colour with a small white head. Like a sweet juice with alcohol. Luckily this is not so offensive. These Samuel Smiths fruit beers are not for me.

550 mL bottle. Clear golden with a soda like white cap of head. Big fresh apricot on the nose with a definitively English feeling grain backdrop. Subtle black tea and apple. Juicy fruit and malt sweetness with gentle tannin. Moderate bodyand carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Deliciously multi-dimensional.

Bottle from LCBO. Cleat yellow with big frothy head. Aroma of apricot, honey, and light grains. Taste is syrupy sweet, full of apricots. The finish is more balanced. Fruity and perfectly acceptable.

Golden yellow, carbonated with lots of tiny bubbles, small white head which leaves miminal lacing, smooth, easy drinking, served in a very pretty glass, very good, tasty beer but it should be as at over £5 for only 5.1%! 500ml I think. Bottle at gazebo Kingston.
