COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

355 ml bottle. Aroma of a lot of sweet apricot. Pours clear golden with white head. Virtually none lasting. Vinous sour fruity taste. Sweet apricot. Lemon. Finish of sour and sweet apricot. Ends dry. Sparkling lively carbonation. Sweet sugarwater texture - thicker than watery.

Sweet with a nose and flavor of apricot. Not sure how much the organic characteristic comes into play. Sweet, refreshing, and overall a good fruit beer.

superspak (2413) - Michigan, USA - APR 12, 2014
550 ml bottle into imperial pint glass, bottled on 6/24/2013. Pours lightly hazy bright gold color with a 2 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge apricot, peach, orange, pear, honey, wheat, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance of juicy apricot, fruity yeast ester, and malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big tart apricot, peach, orange, pear, wheat, honey, bread, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, peach, pear, apple, wheat, honey, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic robustness of juicy apricot, fruity yeast ester, and pale malt sweetness; with a great malt/tartness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and fairly slick/syrupy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic fruit beer. Tons of robust and balanced tart apricot and pale malt sweetness; and extremely smooth to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle at Sås & Krås. The apricot is very there, so is a botch of sweetness, nor really my cup of tea.

Bottled 33cl. Rating number 2800. A very approachable beer for almost anyone I would imagine. Sweet but not artificial. Good in itself but I can’t seem to find the right setting to drink a beer which is that filling at 5.1 ABV.

rand (1250) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 23, 2014
Bottle 355 ml from Bier-Bienne (CH). Muddy golden blonde with a nervous crackling and a compact white head. Soft fruity aromas of apricot, jam, lemon, wood. The taste is very fresh, sweet and fruity with a present acidulity, nice balance sugar-acidity. Bitterness of almond-kernel, hints of vanilla, wheat and fruity Lambic.

Hazy golden pour with a thin but hearty head. Aroma is a great blend of sweet but slightly tart apricot, really pleasing. Taste is sweet without overdoing it on the apricot, with a nice malt balance. Mouthfeel is very smooth and exceedingly drinkable. This is great stuff, will go back for more soon.

Poured from 550mL bottle. Mostly clear, light golden yellow with white head. Aroma of apricot and subtle yeast. Mild sweet apricot taste, not overbearing. Not far behind the Raspberry fruit beer from Sam Smith.
