3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle into glass. Extremely Hazy orange pour with a small white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Nose is dominated by fruit, apricot. Taste is overwhelming apricot, not much else. Little to no alcohol presence. Tastes good but too fruity? No beer characteristic.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Poured a honey golden color with one finger tall head. Awesome apricot aromas with sugar candy notes. Medium sweetness. Light sour notes. Light carbonation. Nice apricot/peach notes. Not too artificial either. Love Samuel Smith beers!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
500ml bottle into a Duvel tulip.
A: Pours a hazy amber color. The head is a three finger white shade. As it recedes, it leaves behind plentiful lacing on the glass.
S: Apricots. Okay, there isn’t much else to the aroma - but this singular quality is pulled off extremely well. I also notice a bit of cream and cherry esters, as well.
T: Much like the nose, the flavor profile is pretty much an apricot bomb with only an augmenting cream note to break up the monotony. The general flavor profile is 90% sweet and 10% tart, but I’m really glad that it doesn’t come off in an artificial manner, too. Simple? Yep. Sweet and not very beer-y? Of course. Enjoyable? Oh fuck yes.
M: The texture is medium bodied and crisp. Some finishing dryness does a good job of scrubbing off any overdone syrupy-sweet linger - still, this one is pretty damn sweet on the back end. I don’t really notice the carbonation because of the aforementioned sweetness.
O: Admittedly, the sweetness means that that the first half of the bottle is more pleasurable/drinkable than the second half. Nonetheless, as a fruit beer, this one is hard to beat. I would absolutely buy this again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Gardiner & Haskins, Bristol. Pale amber with a slight white head and moderate carbonation. Light arma of apricot, peach juice and a hint of lemon zest, with a trace of rustic yeast. Flavour had some sweetish fruit juice to start, before some more substantial malts, and then a dryish finish which left some tannins in the mouth. Avoided being syrupy, which is commendable. Good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nearly-clear, orange beer which is quite lively. Aroma is strong apricot. Taste is a sharp, slightly sour apricot flavour and something else (almost a toasted malt undercurrent but I’m not sure if that’s what it is) with the almost pickle-y apricot flavour being what lingers. Very crisp and refreshing.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy orange with a 1 finger, creamy eggshell head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is heavy on the apricot, some toast and tree fruit. Flavor is pretty heavy with apricot, some tart apple, toast, floury wheat, a nice, tart apricot note toward the finish along with lingering toast and light citrus notes. Excellently creamy mouthfeel, with a fittingly sharp, but fairly light carbonation and nice, fruity acidity, neutral to dry, but juicy finish. Really nice palate. Overall surprisingly good beer. I honestly wasn’t expectiong much, since I am not a huge fan of apricots, but I was very pleasantly surprised.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good bottle, standard Sam Smith throwback label; foggy gold. Pleasantly sour, pickled apricot aroma. Sweet and tart, you can almost feel the fuzzy apricot skin on your tongue, lightly bitter. Medium body, medium tangy finish. Thanks, LuckyDog.
