COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Bottle from Gardiner & Haskins, Bristol. Pale amber with a slight white head and moderate carbonation. Light arma of apricot, peach juice and a hint of lemon zest, with a trace of rustic yeast. Flavour had some sweetish fruit juice to start, before some more substantial malts, and then a dryish finish which left some tannins in the mouth. Avoided being syrupy, which is commendable. Good.

August 21, 2013 - bottle, at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese. Murky orange-gold with a minimal white head. Aroma is pretty pungent - slightly unripe apricot and lemon, just a little grassiness to make it smell vaguely beer-like. Taste - pretty solid - ripe apricot and mild but present funk, not much alcohol - maybe a bit like a tart apricot and wine concoction, but actually pretty damned drinkable. Thick body, some acidity, high, light stinging carbonation and a quick sweet/tart fruity finish. I like this better than their others.

Bottled, thick cloudy orange with great looking white foam, frothy, apricot jam on the nose with sour apricot and leather flavors

11/10/12. Bottle sampled at Grassroots. Hazy orange yellow pour with a small yellowish head. Fruity apricot aroma with a hint of tartness. The flavor is also sweet apricot but with a bit of sour as well. Apricot isn’t really my thing but this isn’t atrocious.

Bottle at PIB, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out pungent apricots, with not much else. Flavour is similar, with loads of apricot, with a medium residual sugar quality. Very fruity and mildly sugary. Very drinkable and enjoyable. Great stuff.

550ml bottle, shared with my mom. Decent, thin white head. Completely hazy yellow / orange color, looks very fruity. Lighter carbonation, more dry texture. Very nice, pronounced apricot juice flavor. Nice, sort of tart sweet taste. Nice tasty juicy ale. I wasn’t really impressed with the first few beers I tried from this brewery, but this one is a winner. Maybe I should try more of their "organic" offerings..

Bottle, enjoyable but would not overly seek it out again. Floral and buttery apricot. Liquid flintstones vitamins. Sweet, really sweet but I like it
