COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Bottle at PIB, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out pungent apricots, with not much else. Flavour is similar, with loads of apricot, with a medium residual sugar quality. Very fruity and mildly sugary. Very drinkable and enjoyable. Great stuff.

Bottle, enjoyable but would not overly seek it out again. Floral and buttery apricot. Liquid flintstones vitamins. Sweet, really sweet but I like it

Sampled on 4/11/2012. This fruit beer pours a hazy apricot color from a 500ml bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is apricot, fruity, malty and sweet. A medium bodied fruit beer. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy. A very nice apricot beer. The apricot flavors are semi-sweet and very natural tasting, it tastes just like a perfectly ripe apricot, neither too sweet nor too tart. Nice soft carbonation. Lower ABV could make this a good session ale, but I am not sure just how many of these I would want to drink in one sitting. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Tallahassee, Fl - Liquor Loft - 500 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy medium golden-orange with a sticky white head that sticks around a while. Clean fresh apricot aroma, a hint of an orange dreamsicle. Flavor is tangy and sour with some yeasty accents, some natural tasting apricot notes, a touch of orange peel, slightly earthy. Mouthfeel is thick enough, just a trace of metal in the back end. A pleasant diversion.

550ml bottle, shared with my mom. Decent, thin white head. Completely hazy yellow / orange color, looks very fruity. Lighter carbonation, more dry texture. Very nice, pronounced apricot juice flavor. Nice, sort of tart sweet taste. Nice tasty juicy ale. I wasn’t really impressed with the first few beers I tried from this brewery, but this one is a winner. Maybe I should try more of their "organic" offerings..

Bottle courtesy of Ken during some Settlers of Catan. Pours a beautiful deep peach nectar juice body with thin white bubbly lacing. Aroma is apricot and sugar. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of peach, apricot, fruit juice, sugar and light tin. If the light tin flavor was diminished a bit this would be incredible, but still serves as a sessionable fruit ale.

500ml Bottle: Aroma of apricot and apricot juice. Poured a muddy amber/brown/apricot color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, white head that diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is heavily sweet. Tastes of apricot. Light to medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Apricot finish is heavily sweet.

These Sam Smith Fruit beers have been interesting, to say the least. Some are cloying, some are understated. This one may be the best one (I think. I need to check my ratings...). Nice palate - light without being fizzy. Smells great, of course, but one dimensional. Taste is Apricots, a little honey, and apricots.

Hazy gold with a white head. Nose is apricot, tart, sour, acidic, and dry. Easy on the palate, tart, apricot, smooth finish, and sugar.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4547) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 10, 2013
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2013 Sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy apricot color with a trace foamy white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was sweet apricot, sugar and a touch of yeast. The flavor was very sweet apricot jam with a tart and sour middle followed by sugar and more apricot. Long sweet sugar and apricot jam finish. Fairly full bodied and syrupy. Excellent.
