COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Aroma is yeast and apricot juice/skin. The flavor is apricot juice and a big sweetness/sourness that dominates into the finish. Not exceptional but pretty good still.

From a bottle poured a hazy apricot color with a small amount of head. Nice tart apricot flavor with a lingering finish.

550ml bottle, shared with my mom. Decent, thin white head. Completely hazy yellow / orange color, looks very fruity. Lighter carbonation, more dry texture. Very nice, pronounced apricot juice flavor. Nice, sort of tart sweet taste. Nice tasty juicy ale. I wasn’t really impressed with the first few beers I tried from this brewery, but this one is a winner. Maybe I should try more of their "organic" offerings..

A decent fruit beer. Since I don’t care for apricot, I am rating this to my tastes not how good it is. Lovers of apricot would love this. Aroma was big, sweet and fruity. Apricot and sugar. Pour was a nice cloudy orange with a one finger white head. Taste was big sweet and fruity. Apricot and fruit cocktail with nice carbonation. The sweetness was a little too much and there was not anything to balance it out.

Bottle bought at whole foods, poured a light golden color with aromas of all apricot preserves. Not much in the aroma, it translates to the flavor, sweet apricot jelly, annd light grain. Ok beer overall.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2012 550 ml. bottle. Pours a medium lasting ivory head, with attractive lacing, over a cloudy, amber orange (SRM 10) body....nose is apricot, hints of cereal....taste is apricot, light sweetness, finishing with light tart acid...mouth feel thick, carbonation adds nice tingling spritz. This is a well done Fruit Beer. There is enough character from the apricot, and adequate acid to help balance the sweetness that comes naturally from the fruit. This is the best of the fruit series so far. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6

355ml bottle. Pours gold with no head. Aroma is lagery corn and apricot yoghurt. Taste is sweet apricot to start and an intense apricot yoghurt finish.

550ml brown bottle. Hazy gold pour, somewhat noisy white cap that settles to a nice inch or so of rocky foam. Strong apricot fruit nose, jammy, floral. taste has some fruit sweetness up front, gains the tart and tangy character from the fruit midway, slight lemony note, dries up a bit in the finish, notes of grainy malt. Medium body and carbonation. Fruits hit their mark here, tastes pretty natural and not overly sweet. Well done, would drink this again.

Bottle. Hazy golden pour with white head. Fruit forward apricot aroma. Flavor is soo sweet it almost comes off as tart, apricot sweet tones.
