COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

hazy orange poor with a white head. aroma of apricot with biscuit undertones. taste is sweet like nectar.it is strong sweet apricot. you can feel the syrupy juice mixed in with the ale. too sweet to be a regular choice for me.

A bottle bough on the recommendation of the awesome beer guy at the Dundas & Dovercourt LCBO. They always have great stuff, amazing for the size of the store. I think they have "indiscrete" pictures of some bigwig at the LCBO head office. Pours a clear blonde with some active carbonation and a finger of white head that reduces to a sheet. A very fruity nose that is a big smack of apricot that overwhelms just about everything else. And the same for the taste, very sweet lots of apricot, the malt is kicking around in the back there. Not much of a fan here. Taken away the subtly of the beer for fruit.

Pours a pale golden-yellow colour with a frothy white fizzy head that lasts longer than I expected. The smell is not awesome. Kind of fermented fruit gone bad. Tried looking for the best before date on neck as the label says, but only written SD15N1 - yeah, that really helps me out !! The taste seems better, as in not infected, with the sweet fruit juices of apricots. Unfortunately, there is some rusty flavours to it. Hints of bananas are kind of helping this cause. Thankfully just bought one (and yes I like fruit beers and Samuel Smith brews).

One of the oldest breweries . Aroma is amazing but not huge fan of the taste. Somewhat earthy and thought it was a bit roasty.

Bottle at the RISC Global Café, Reading. Hazy gold with a thin white head. Lovely fresh natural apricot taste up front, with a creamy vanilla behind - like an apricot and créme pat tart. So far so good - put then unfortunately someone seems to have smothered it with a sackload of white sugar. A hint of sour tartness in the finish doesn’t quite compensate. Don’t quite know what to make of this - reduce the sugar and it could be great. Unfortunately, as it stands at the moment it feels like it’s dissolving my teeth. Shame; the apricot in it was really good.

550ml bottle, honey gold color, with a pillowy white head. Nice juicy apricot fruity nose, with an apricot cake, faint vanilla, apricot pie accent, with a subtle dried apricot granola bar, apricot mousse, pale, wheat malt note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a good sweet fruity apricot puréed, peachy, faint pineapple, wheat apricot cookie dough, light wheat pale, munich malt character, with a faint orange candyish lollipop, subtle sweet and sour apricot flavour, leading towards a sweet juicy, fruity apricot finish.

"another well made fruit beer by Sam Smiths (i also liked the cherry and raspberry). the aroma is wonderful...more juice than beerlike, but just exploding with fresh apricot and a slightly tart aroma. body is fuller than expected, as is the look (no-seein through color of apricot juice). the flavor is nice...almost too much fruit, pretty sweet with a hint of tartness and hops and wheat. i wish these were not a couple bucks more than SSmiths regular stuff, but i may revisit the three...this is good. a touch less sweet and a bit more sour and this could be frikkin incredible."

355ml Bottle - Golden with a slight haze and lively carbonation. Apricot, peach and a hint of honey in the aroma. Apricot dominates in the taste along with some hints of golden syrup.

Smells like apricots. Texture is kind of watery, light foam, and very little fizz, kind of like drinking soda after it is almost (but clearly not) flat. Tastes like apricots with natural sweetness. Extremely pleasant aftertaste like a tart peach.
