COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Stumbled upon this one just by chance. IT IS Delicious. Very smooth and sweet, with a nice tartness in the finish. Great chilled or warm. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Poured a bright clear golden color ale with a generous white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of fresh apricot notes is very nice with nice fruity ester notes. Taste is also dominated by fresh apricot notes with some light cereal notes and some fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well made with nice fresh apricot notes and with good balance of residual sugar notes.

It pours gold with a large white long lasting head. It has a nice apricot aroma. The fruit and beer flavors blend wonderfully in this beer. It tastes like fresh apricot and has a tart fruit flavor. This is one of the best fruit beers I’ve ever had.

Bottle from Melbourne Bros in Stamford. Pale gold colour. The aroma has plenty of apricot. Taste is more beery than I feared. Great.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2014 Pours a deep golden colour, with a fairly thick white head, which settles nicely leaving considerable lacing behind. Definitely filtered. Strong aromas of apricot, with some biscuity malts struggling to come out in the background. Sweet, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Tastes are again, strong on apricot, sugar, and general fruitiness. Overall, not really a traditional beer in my mind, but I believe that what they set out to do, they’ve done well. Glad I tried one as it is quite nice, but would likely never purchase again.

A bottle bough on the recommendation of the awesome beer guy at the Dundas & Dovercourt LCBO. They always have great stuff, amazing for the size of the store. I think they have "indiscrete" pictures of some bigwig at the LCBO head office. Pours a clear blonde with some active carbonation and a finger of white head that reduces to a sheet. A very fruity nose that is a big smack of apricot that overwhelms just about everything else. And the same for the taste, very sweet lots of apricot, the malt is kicking around in the back there. Not much of a fan here. Taken away the subtly of the beer for fruit.

Pours a pale golden-yellow colour with a frothy white fizzy head that lasts longer than I expected. The smell is not awesome. Kind of fermented fruit gone bad. Tried looking for the best before date on neck as the label says, but only written SD15N1 - yeah, that really helps me out !! The taste seems better, as in not infected, with the sweet fruit juices of apricots. Unfortunately, there is some rusty flavours to it. Hints of bananas are kind of helping this cause. Thankfully just bought one (and yes I like fruit beers and Samuel Smith brews).
