COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Bros’ tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smith’s small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Pours a hazy orange with a 1 finger, creamy eggshell head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is heavy on the apricot, some toast and tree fruit. Flavor is pretty heavy with apricot, some tart apple, toast, floury wheat, a nice, tart apricot note toward the finish along with lingering toast and light citrus notes. Excellently creamy mouthfeel, with a fittingly sharp, but fairly light carbonation and nice, fruity acidity, neutral to dry, but juicy finish. Really nice palate. Overall surprisingly good beer. I honestly wasn’t expectiong much, since I am not a huge fan of apricots, but I was very pleasantly surprised.

355ml gorgeous bottle bbNOV17, BierH. Bref: would make a great dessert contrast of funky-sweet natural apricot flavours to Cantillon’s FouFoune. - So this is only bottled at Samuel Smith, brewed and blended on the basis of some sort of organic wheat ale by Melbourn Bros? Ingr?: 4% apricot concentrate and extract...somehow less than the 15-20% fruit in fruit lambiek, yet just as aromatic. Nose: reminds me of "confituurke" aka apricot jam-slathered Belgian pastry...sweet apricot jam, candi sugar, natural apricot peel and stones included. Drinks astoundingly uncloying, if fruity-sweet. Apricot yoghurt and quark dessert comes to mind on account of the wheat porridge underneath. - Will revisited teamed up with FouFoune!

Leicht trübes goldenes Bier mit mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig, frische Aprikosen, süß. Geschmack nach süßen Aprikosen, frisch und natürlich, okay.

Sample. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of fruit sweetness and malts. The taste was similar to the aroma with more fruitiness, malts and apricots. Interesting.

Orange and yellow hazy beer. Little white head vanished quickly. Lots of apricote in aroma, also some grain. Taste is fresh, bitter and apricote. Nice fruit beer for summertime.

Slightly hazy, orange golden beer with a medium, good lasting, creme coloured head. Aromas of apricot jam, wheat, bit of yeast. . Apricot jam in taste, sweet-sour overall, acidic in finish. Creamy texture, medium body, average carbonation. Too much fruit for my taste...a solid lemonade though.

Brown bottle, 355ml. Pours medium hazy, medium dark yellow with a medium thick white head subsiding slowly. Scent is medium apricot jam and light pilsener yeast. Taste is very apricot jam and light light ethanol. Finish is clean and simple. Very good!
