COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Handcrafted at Melbourn Brosí tiny brewery set in a time warp in Stamford using the old manually operated brewing equipment. finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation, is taken to Samuel Smithís small, independent British brewery at Tadcaster. There it is blended with pure organic apricot fruit juice and a previously cellared organic brew - creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

Pours a hazy orange with a 1 finger, creamy eggshell head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is heavy on the apricot, some toast and tree fruit. Flavor is pretty heavy with apricot, some tart apple, toast, floury wheat, a nice, tart apricot note toward the finish along with lingering toast and light citrus notes. Excellently creamy mouthfeel, with a fittingly sharp, but fairly light carbonation and nice, fruity acidity, neutral to dry, but juicy finish. Really nice palate. Overall surprisingly good beer. I honestly wasnít expectiong much, since I am not a huge fan of apricots, but I was very pleasantly surprised.

550ml bottle. Clear straw body, big white fluffy head with good retention. Aroma of wet cardboard, grains, vinegar, apricots and ammonia. Taste of sweet grains, artificial sweeter, apricot jam. Oily.

Bottle from the LCBO. Clear pale gold with a small white head that fades quickly. Nose is apricot with peach and tart cherry with light honey and caramel. Medium sweet with apricot and honey. Not as sweet as the nose would imply with a good tart middle and a chewy finish. Mouth is medium and slick with average carbonation. Nice and smooth and not overpowering.

500 mL bottle from LCBO served cool in a tulip glass. Clear deep golden with a full white head. Tons of apricot, peach, artificial and natural, buttery diacetyl, not very nice. Medium body, fairly full carbonation. Sickly sweet, mostly artificial apricot/peach, less buttery than the nose, still not very nice; quite sweet with no bitterness and a long, possibly artificial stone fruit finish. Alco-pop for sure. No thanks.

550 mL bottle. Lots of apricot in this one, but somehow itís not overwhelming. And Iím not a huge fan of apricots. A little sweet, but otherwise a solid brew.

Clear orange pour, big white head. Very sweet apricot aroma, floral honey, and light pale malts. Regular mouth feel and medium carb. The finish is not as sweet as the aroma leads on. The finish is lightly bitter, and a touch tart. The sweetness is quick, and dry, and pleasantly fruity. Nice stuff.

550 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear, bright golden colour with moderate-sized white head with a little lacing. Aroma is sweet apricot and light grain. Flavour is quite sweet apricot with mild tartness and a touch of grainy malt. Average body. A little sweet and quite fruity but reasonably thirst-quenching on a warm day.

Yeah so I had three Samuel Smith fruit beers so far, which are cherry. raspberry aand apricot. My favourite one is definitely apricot. I donít even like apricot but I really liked it as fruit beer. Samuel Smith did a real good job on this one. Wonderful :P

[Bottle (550ml)] Pours a clear deep gold with an average size lasting frothy white head and some lacing on the glass. Aroma is sweet and fruity, maybe a bit tart -- itís mainly apricot and not much else. Good fruity flavour, mainly apricot along with a bit of grain and malt way in the back. Medium bodied. Simple but pretty good if you are in the right mood.
