A slightly hazy garnet tinged mahogany color with a pink to tinted head with decent lacing. Aroma is dominated by a bing cherry flavor and sweetness. Taste is also predominately cherry that starts off sweet and artificial tasting but becomes more natural with some tannic cherry skin flavor and a hint of tartness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very one note with cherry flavor and not much beer character, but it doesn’t become cloying and is drinkable.

Pours clear red. Very attractive looking. Fruit beer is good to when you feel like it, and it was good when I had this because I felt like it. Fairly sweet with a definite cherry flavour. Good carbonation. Enjoyable fun drink.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2014 Bottle shared by my brother. Reddish amber pour with a nice large pink head. Smells a little like a Luden’s cough drop. Nice juicy cherry taste. Very flavorful.

Overall, surprisingly good! Long hot alcohol finish offputting. Nice carbonation - cherries, tart cranberry, strawberry. Looks like cranberry juice, with a fluffy nice head.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a super nice two and a half fingered white to a tint of reddishness in the head. The head must have lasted for at least a good three minutes before it even decided to dissipate. Once it did, there was a super thick amount of lacing gracing the sides of the glass very nicely. The smell was tart cherries. The taste was tart, sweet and has a touch of sourness but in a good way to complement the flavoring. With a slight refreshing yet crisp cherry aftertaste, the finish ends up being quick and refreshing. On the palate, this one sits about a medium on the body with a superb sessionability about this one. Wow, I feel like I could pound this all day! Overall, I didn’t expect this one to be so sessionable. This is an exceptionally well done beer and should be the benchmark for Cherry beers.

From the 550 ml. embossed bottle. The pour is a kind of reddish-amber with a modest off-white head. Vaguely opaque. Check out those tart and fruity aromas of cherry juice along with that little hint of yeast and malts. Still the cherries are the commanding scent. The body is light to medium with a decent smooth texture. Solid cherry flavor with a tart sour finish. I knew what to expect when I popped open the bottle cap and I got it.

Bottle from a liquor store in Ventura, CA. Medium red pour with an inch reddish white head that recedes to a quarter inch. Aroma is slightly sweet cherry and a little vanilla. Flavor is cherry with a slightly bitter finish. Body and carbonation are at a medium level. I know this beer has mixed reviews, but I like it.

Aroma: very strong dark cherries. Appearance: dark clear reddish amber, small white frothy head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: initial sweetness turns quickly dry, light bitters, cheery flavour. Overall: good Fruit Beer, not as good as the apricot version though. Bottle from Whole Foods Market, Kensington.
