355 ml bottle from Ammersin Centerstore.
Copper, moderate hazy body, with a big, creamy, moderately lacing, slightly pink head.
Aroma of raspberries, cherries, sugar, sweet malts, some sweet bread, subtle barnyard.
Tastes of sweet and sour raspberries, cherries, sugar, bread, sweet malts.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes moderate, sweet, a bit sour, fruity.

Good. Sweet but not too sweet, well balanced, also with some sour notes. Not very complex, but with nice, distinctive raspberry notes. Overall a good fruit beer, alhtough Iíve had much better ones.

Samuel Smithís Organic Raspberry Ale has a medium, fizzy-ish, pink head, a clear, ruby red appearance, and low-level lacing left behind. The aroma is of strong raspberry juice with bread. Taste is a one-two punch of acidic & sweet raspberry juice and bready malt. Bitterness is low. Mouthfeel is medium, and Samuel Smithís Organic Raspberry Ale finishes dry and highly drinkable. RJT

330ml bottle - thanks Marduk
Wohhh, sweet raspberry aroma, perfumey, like a tartís hankercheif. Red, small head. Thin palate, bit of fizz. Crazy sweet body, sharply citrussy to cut through the sugars. Stickyish finish. Sweet and juicy, but not what Iím after.

Nice raspberry aroma. Dark pink, not much of a head. Tart raspberry flavour, canít pick out much of the underlying beer flavour. Nice beer to experiment matching with sweet food.

Bottle from Whole Foods Kensington. Bright pink, some pinkish head with decent carbonation. I so wanted to hate this, bought it for cooking as they didnít have any Belgian fruit beers worthy of the name, and it looks like bright pink fruit juice! But itís nice, tart raspberries with a healthy dose of sweetness. It may not have the complexity of a lambic-based framboise but itís pretty tasty.
