Also known as Organic Raspberry Handcrafted Fruit Ale
A product of England this is an ale brewed with raspberry juice and natural flavours added. Brewed at All Saints in Stamford Lincolnshire and blended and bottled at Samuel Smith’s Brewery. The finest organically grown barley and wheat are used to create a complex ale which having undergone primary and secondary fermentation with different yeasts and extended maturation. This beer is blended with pure organic raspberry fruit juice and a previously cellared brew creating an unparalleled fruit ale. The smooth distinctive character of the matured ale serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice.

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2011 Bottle. The pour was a medium to dark red almost a cranberry in color with an average sized (1-2 finger) fizzy pink head that dissipated quite quickly and had fair lacing. The aroma was extremely strong with the scent of Raspberry’s and had a mild sweet yeast odor to it and not much else. It tasted moderately sweet and slightly malty with a nice dose of Raspberry from beginning to end with a hint of yeast at the finish that left the flavor lingering on the taste buds for a nice long time after the swallow. Mouthfeel was light to medium in body and slightly watery in texture yet had a dry feel to it at the finish with a nice lively carbonation. Overall kind of a sweet brew with a lot of flavor, but it is more like Lambic than a Fruit Beer. Although it might be quite tasty mixed with a dry stout.

It’s good even thou I had to double check the bottle and make sure it wasn’t a wine, actually an ale strong raspberry flavor would recommend.

355ml bottle at the Swan and Three Cygnets, Durham. Pinkish-red colour with a thin white head. Aroma of strong, sweet raspberry gin. Tart notes of raspberry jam, balanced by the faint bitterness and light notes of a pale ale.

Bottle from Keelham Farm Shop, Thornton. Deeper clear red with a thin head. The raspberry is light, slightly tangy, with a light sweetness in taste, and a light sourness in its aftertaste.

Bottle from Sip in Tallinn (€ 4.20). BB Dec 2016. Pours expectedly pinkish-purplish red; nice white head with shade of pink. Good lace. The aroma is of extremely lovely raspberry jam - and I love raspberry jam! The cane sugar adds a rather strong touch of candy-like effect but that’s on a tolerable level. Tastes as nice, the raspberry is soft and ripe, jammy and sugary sweet. Extremely soft on the palate with very fine carbonation. Becomes more and more candy-like as it warms, but despite that I’m really loving this (perhaps especially after an unusually sporty day).

Schön süß, aber mit angenehmer leichter Säure. Himbeere sehr intensiv zu schmecken, Hopfen zum Schluss leicht bitter.

Bottle shared. BBF 04/2017. Deep red ruby amber, little white head. Nose is extremely sweet artificial cheap raspberry jam, low metallic qualities. Taste is low metallic, extremely sweet artificial raspberry jam, chemical, candy,.. massively sweet cheap jam & sugar body. For an extremely sweet fruit beer, this is actually pretty decent, huge candy & sweet jam but in a passable fashion.
