COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
The small and historical All Saints Brewery is located in Stamford, Lincolnshire - a region famous for excellent fruit. The Samuel Smith’s Organic Fruit Beers are brewed and fermented there, then transferred to Samuel Smith’s Brewery, in Tadcaster, for conditioning, aging, and packaging. The complex multiple yeast strains used to ferment these beers lead to a beautiful marriage with pure, rich Certified Organic fruit. Tasting notes: Strawberries offer a soft and subtle flavour, making the character of this fruit beer extremely sophisticated and refined. The smooth malt and aromatic strawberry flavours merge together in an elegant fashion, with the fresh flavours of ripe strawberries shining through.

Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles. Aroma: heavy strawberry aroma--that seems almost artificial. Appearance: average-sized, frothy, off-white initial head. Cloudy, medium amber body. Taste: moderately sour, strawberry initial flavor and heavily sweet, strawberry bubblegum finish with long duration. Palate: medium-to-full body, syrupy texture and lively carbonation. Overall: despite the fact that this is organic, it tasted like liquid bubblegum.

Pours from English bomber a hazy, golden hue. Aroma straight up front of berries, both strawberry and raspberry. hops and field grass seem to sneak through as well. Flavour is of course, full on strawberry, with a hint of cherry goodness. Ends well with a slight tartness, that doesn’t take it away from its overall meaning. finishes a bit dry, yet somewhat sticky. Impressive beer, even though not my style.

from Bier-Bienne - fully cloudy orange-brown beer with a little foam left; huge aroma of strawberry ice cream; marmalade and candy sugar; very sweet, light sticky, chewy aftertaste of strawberries bubblegum - cloying and ugly but my youngest son loves it

Smells like strawberries and maybe whipped cream. Texture is kind of watery, light foam, and very little fizz, kind of like drinking soda after it is almost (but clearly not) flat. Tastes like tart strawberry jam with natural sweetness. Aftertaste is similar with just a TINY hint of bitterness and is medium to long length.

Bottle at the Princess Louise, Holborn. Rosè pink, with a bit of carbonation. Fresh strawberry aroma with a slight earthy malty tinge. The expected sweet fruity taste is balanced by a muted bitter. Nice beer overall but the palette is too weak and too carbonated. Overall: an uncomplicated but perfectly drinkable fruit beer. A surprisingly satisfying treat.

Pours to approximately a finger length head; sporadic lacing. Mild aroma of slight strawberry. Taste is like a light strawberry jam. Not as tart as I was expecting. Light, easy drinking fruit beer. Great for summer months and post-exercise refreshers.

Bottle at home. Pours lightly hazy strawberry orange with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is sweet strawberries, light honey and biscuit malt with a faint earthy character. Flavor is sweet strawberries, honey and biscuit malt, light tartness and a sweet finish. Medium body and carbonation.

500 ml bottle into imperial pint glass, bottled on 10/1/2013. Pours lightly hazy orange copper color with a 2 finger fairly dense light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of big juicy strawberry, white sugar, light caramel, bread, and light herbal. Fantastic aromas with huge strawberry presence and balanced malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of big juicy strawberry, sugar, light caramel, bread, and light herbal. Some slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of strawberry, white sugar, light caramel, bread, and light herbal on the finish for a while. Fantastic robustness and balance of juicy strawberry flavor and malt sweetness; with minimal cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic fruit beer. Huge robustness of strawberry flavors and balanced malt sweetness; and extremely smooth to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a nice looking hazy dark orange to brown color with a nice two and a half finger white foamy head that lasts for about a good thirty second before it dissipated into a lumpy foaminess. The lacing was there and fairly thick in parts. The smell was all about the strawberries. They came across super sweet. The taste was sweet strawberries and it had a nice long sweet strawberry aftertaste that seemed somewhat refreshing as well. The wasn’t much of any finish. On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium in body and shows a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation feels pretty light but still decent for the style. Overall, what a nice strawberry beer. This one is definitely well worthy to have again and will most likely show up on Summer evenings after dinner.
