Poured an opaque black colour with a thick looking appearance. Dark tan foamy head 5mm thick with lots of lace sticking to the glass. A great looking beer. Aroma of semi-sweet slightly roasted coffee, a trace of milk chocolate and possible licorice. Taste persistently and strongly of roasted coffee with hints of dark chocolate. Medium to heavy body. Smooth and creamy on the palate and with a semi-sweet but lingering roasted coffee finish. A good imperial stout.

Pours jet black with one finger khaki head. Smells of chocolate and roasted malts. Tastes of the same. This is a great stout. One of my favs. As drinkable as some of their sweeter stouts even with the higher abv.

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a nice looking dark brown to black color with a two finger white to off white foamy head. There was some light lacing sticking nicely around the glass. The smell had a nice blend of sweet milk chocolate along with some plums, raisins and then added a nice light roasty coffee. The taste was mainly sweet and roasty with a nice lingering roasty to sweet aftertaste that finishes slightly dry. On the palate, this one sits right on the medium side of the body. The carbonation finished with a light creamy smoothness. Overall, this was a nice RISK well worthy of having again.

Koromfekete, átlátszatlan színű főzet, mely lebilincselő aromával bír: a könnyed, leginkább meggyhez, cseresznyéhez hasonlító édesség felől fokozatosan közelít a kakaós, forró csokis, majd kávés, pörkölt illatok felé.

Dark colored head. Pours out blackish. Coffee, chocolate with a light licorice aromas. full bodied. Average to thick textured. Not a lot of carbonation in this beer, but the finish is semisweet with a roasted coffee and dark chocolate taste. This is a great stout beer.

0.355 bottle. Pitch black color and a medium, thick, brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, caramel, coffee, and a touch of toffee. Taste is very malty with loads of coffee, licorice, some roast, and a delicate sourness. Full body, thick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is a bit sweeter than the bitterish taste and also less sticky but in essence features the same flavors. Overall the beer is really tasty, well-balanced, does not commit the mistakes of many other stouts, and gives an impression of excellence.

Bottle. A- Cocoa, roasty, coffee, rich, alcohol. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Cocoa, chocolate, coffee, roasty, alcohol, robust, malty. P- Medium full body, average texture, average carbonation, roasty finish. O- Good and not overpowering. I’m surprised that it’s only 7% for an Imperial Stout yet you can still taste the alcohol in it. While it’s a solid stout, it’s not really more than average.
