Bottled. Pours black in color with a tan head. Chocolate and something sweet like raisins in aroma mostly, also some licorice. Flavour has huge amounts of raisins and chocolate. Quite filling. Nice.

A beer that shows its royal status just from the bottle. If you like this style this is a must.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours nearly black with dense honeycomb head. Smells and tastes like black treacle. Not your traditional stout then. Taste lingers with sickly sweet malt on the finish.

Color negro, espuma beige que no desaparece completamente. Aroma chocolate, café. Sabor tostado, chocolate negro, café y un toque dulce aterciopelado . Cuerpo medio, carbonatación baja. Final amargo y seco bastante persistente. Una excelente RIS.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle 355ml. Beer is totally black with beige, frothy head and very nice lacing. Dark chocolate and roasty notes in aroma with small hint of alcohol like liqueur, very nice and quite intensive especially when beer is getting warm. Roasty and chocolate notes in taste with small sour hint in aftertaste but there in not full body and oily texture as I expected. Bitterness small to medium, long, roasty with chocolate hint, very nice. Beer is more dry than sweet so there is next suprise for me but generally it’s OK. Alcohol very good hidden. Nice, medium body, drinkable but there is no "alcohol claw" which is characteristic for RIS. Anyway good beer, not so rich of alcohol as most of RIS but very nice in such issuance.

Very dark with tan coloured head and a rich aroma of coffee and muted chocolate. Flavour is sweet with some molasses and palate as oily as would be expected.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Chocolate and soy sauce aroma, also can feel inside alcohol, sour and Obsolete taste
Color like engine oil, little brown head, can’t see the bubbles
Chocolate, smoke and soy sauce’s salty taste in the mouth, tongue can feel a few bubbles. Sour and chocolate’s bitter, little bit sweet aftertaste.
Body is not too heavy for imperial stout
Quite good but not the best

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Completely black beer with creamy head and good lacing
Coffee, vanilla and chocolate aromas but also some liquorous and sweet notes such as blackberries and strawberries. Despite this, aroma is note very complex.
In mouth it is sweet but well balanced by the hop bitterness. Full-body and an oily mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Medium aftertaste.
Good and enjoyable imperial stout

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Best imperial stout ever, rich, deep chocolate color, roasted barley and coffee, aroma, fully body and fruity bitter finish.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Visual: Foil sealed cap. Pours coffee black with very minimal head, a thin layer of fine retention, lots of micro streams near the surface.
Nose: light burnt bread, sweet baked molasses. (lvl-4)-pungency
Attack: watery-slick, immediate burnt light-sour liquid malt
Mid-palate: (lvl-4)-sweetness, (MAIN) cacao, roasted barley, caramel, coffee sourness, soy sauce, hints of vanilla
Finish: lingering roasted malted barley, partially thin finish.
Summary: A bit dry on its own but goes nicely with a meal. Not what I’d expect from an Imperial Stout, it’s rather light but where it lacks in body it makes up for it in composure and balance. This one makes you notice subtlety.
