4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
11.2 oz bottle into a snifter.
Pours pitch black with a half finger dark tan head. Head recedes to a ring around the edge of the glass and leaves decent lacing.
Aroma of dark fruit; figs and raisins, coffee, and dark roasted malt. Also a little bit of lighter citrus.
The flavor is an amazing mix of fruit and roasted malt. Plenty of dark fruit along with coffee and dark chocolate. Roasted malt is prominent but not close to being overpowering. Some earthy hops also sneak through which is a little odd for a RIS but works really well here. The finish is clean and crisp, not at all sweet and sticky.
This is one of my all-time favorite beers. While it is on the light side for an Imperial Stout, it packs tons of flavor and is incredibly drinkable. I could really have a couple of these in a sitting without tiring of the flavor. A world-class beer.

Aroma: Blackcurrant, plum, tobacco, slightly roasty and sweet. Develops coffee and chocolate.
Appearance: Black with small tan head
Taste: Sour with a mild rounded coffee taste. Hoppy edge.
Palate: Medium bodied, slightly creamy with medium carbonation.
Overall: Lovely fruity smelling, looks delicious. Could do with a slightly bigger taste, but a great beer.

Aroma and matching flavors of dark chocolate, tobacco, dark fruit, and some slight coffee-esque notes. Tobacco notes turn me off here. Good body. Alcohol is noticeable which is a downer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Strong coffee aroma with a hint of yeast, smooth with malt and chocolate flavours. Not the strongest or thickest imperial stout but still a great beer!

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma of sweet holiday bread comes through a thick tan head that sits on top of a pour that is as black as Walter Cronkite’s glasses. Taste is also very sweet. Chocolate, plum and alcohol tickle the taste-buds too. The palate is a little disappointing for an Imperial stout. Not as full bodied as I was expecting. Overall not a bad beer but it has too many imperfection to be world class.

God duft av kaffe og lakris. Dyp sort farge. Tykt dekkende skum. Fin fyldig smak av kaffe og lakris men en langt sittende ettersmak av lakris.

Bottiglia 355ml, ordinata su birraland e bevuta a casa.
Nera con schiuma poco persistente.
Molto amara, poco tostata.
Un pò anomala a dire il vero, gradevole.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
It is a beer dark brown beer, with a beige brown average head. In the nose there is light coffee, red fruits, strawberries and some bananas. It is a medium bodied beer, with a low carbonation. In the taste there is coffee, caramel malts, hop, yellow fruits and bananas. The aftertaste is bitter, hoppy and caramel malts. I very nice stout, but would'not call it an imperial stout.
