12oz. Bottle to shaker, this feels like an old friend I haven’t seen in a while came back into town. Pours pitch black with a finger and half of light brown head. Aromas of roast coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and sweet malt, really classic stout nose. Perfect levels of carbonation create a medium mouthfeel that finishes quite smoothly. Overall sweet on the palate with enough roast to balance it out. Finishes malty and lingers on for just the right amount of time. Great beer, I don’t know its imperial by my jacked-up American standards but its damn good and that’s all that matters. Cheers to the Yorkshire squares!

Bottle from W&M Mansfield. Poured into a snifter. Jet black with a dark tan head. Smooth and silky. Well balanced. Not overly sweet. Layers of dark sweet malts, chocolate, prunes, with a little earthy raisin. Very nice!

Black color, medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, coffee, toffee, hops. Dry sweet taste, medium bitter hoppy finish and dry aftertaste. Medium body and average carbonation. Good stout.

En god Stout. Den har smag af figner, rosiner eller som den er fadlagret. Stor sødmefyldt.

My favorite imperial stout. It displays everything one should compare any imperial stout to. It has the perfect color, smells sweet with just the right amount of booze, the mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, the taste is malty with raisins and a hint of chocolate. Overall this brewery sets the standard on a few styles and this one is near perfect.

Clear, dark brown. Really nice head. Lots of chocolate in aroma. Also dark malts and alcohol. Medium body, quite sweet. Chocolate, bit of caramel. Very alcoholic.

Bottle. Very nice, but not long lasting, dark beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, coffee and toffee, little bit roasty. Strong medium body with a short, light bitterness and sweet coffee finish. Well hidden alcohol. Very good option to celebrate International Stout Day 2015 ;-)
