4.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Aroma is little weird: wheat and hot pastrami with Swiss. -Might be just me. Rolls down along the tongue in mild caramel and hazelnut waves, each receding into a mellow bread-like after taste. Very understated for an imperial stout, not too bold in flavor. But perfect. Not brazen, but confident. I’m probably going to waste a lot more money on this beer in the future, or not <- depending on how you define a waste of money ;)

A great English stout. I've got some on my shelf waiting for my next bottle to fill a tall and frosty glass. :-)

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pitch black with average, beige, dense head. Aroma is complex - roasted malts, plums, deep, some booze. Taste is complex - there are for sure some dark fruits along with chocolate and roasty malt character. Full bodied and oily texture. Too lively for stout. Finish is chocolate/coffee and litte sour.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is rich roasty maltz with slight smokiness. Black licorice, biscuit and oats prominent here. Taste is rich malts, caramel, toffee and slight earthiness on the tip. The famous mineral water adds excellent mouth feel and finish. Appearance is black with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.

Full, rich and creamy stout with a nice mixture of caramel, toffee and faint roasted coffee beans. Wee tad of fruitiness does not improve score. No noticeable alcohol. Great brew.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle; pours nearly black with a mocha head; aroma is roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and hints of dark fruits; taste is chocolate, roasted coffee and malt; light bitter finish; I was expecting a little bit more of an American style imperial stout but by no means was I let down with this beer. It is a very good beer.

Served in TeKu. Great dark beige, creamy head, appears totally black colour. Rich aroma with chocolate, toffee, caramel dominating with a distinct hint of cherry, noble sourness. Very pleasant. Taste is delightful, lots of dark chocolate, quite sweet, but finish is definitely bitter, even earthy a little. Full bodied and very creamy/oily. Extremely enjoable, seems heavier than 7% which lowers drinkability. Its a great example of just straight and plain strong stout without any peculiar additions like US brewers got me used to. Price is also extremely encouraging (less than 5 bucks).
