3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. The pour was a deep dark murky black with a large (2-3 finger) light brown rocky head that lasted a decent while leaving behind some really nice residue floating on top thus producing some really excellent lacing.
The aroma was wonderfully robust with a burnt dark bread malt and a mild sweet leathery yeast with notes of dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee, licorice, some dark fruit and a hint of molasses.
The taste was lightly sweet and malty with a hint of chocolate from the onset then became a mild bitter sweet with a nice note of coffee at the end with the flavor lasting a nice long while proceeding the swallow.
Mouthfeel was nice a full in body and rather creamy and a tad dry in texture with a mild carbonation.
Overall a superb Imperial Stout, very easy to drink and very enjoyable on the taste buds.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared from MikeE. Pours dark, muddy, brown, with a thin tan head. The aroma is chocolate, lightly burnt toast, and toffee. Sweet and malty, with a smooth, pleasant bitterness to balance it out. Medium to heavy body, chalky, smooth, and a clean finish. Overall, this is a pretty nice stout. Nothing special going on, but a good, balanced flavor.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
A classic, one of those impies that revived the style in the previous century. Brownish beige, creamy, stable head and black colour with ruby hue, only under bright light. Dense and complex aroma of coffee, dry sherry, pear syrup, raisins, cinnamon, ginger, chocolate sauce and cocoa powder. Refined, rich taste with lots of chocolate and candied fruits, sweet but subtly evolving into a mouth-filling, creamy but not too sharp roasted bitterness (black coffee), nutty, caramelly and a bit woody, with a meaty finish with delicate aromatic hops. Not as ’agressive’, spicy or bold as many of the imperial stouts that followed in the Anglo-Saxon world, but well-rounded, very rewarding and very well-balanced.

Tastes like toasted chocolate, a classic stout. Complex and rich taste, of cream, caramel, and cofee. A very nice stout, indeed!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma: Dark chocolate, classy alcohol and roasted malts takes only small part in overall smell. Taste: Again chocolate, little sourness and very, very long great aftertaste. Average carbonation. More body will be better, but that beer is really good. Amazing finish. Price [Warsaw, Poland] 15,5PLN = 3,7 Euro

Completely dark body, huge tan head. Big dark fruit aroma, coffee, alcohol and alcohol. A bit watery, medium to full body, soft carbonation. Bitter and sour taste, coffee bitter finish. Finally, a decent Samuel Smiths.
