Thechasm442 (501) - Manhattan, Illinois, USA - JAN 7, 2016
Bottle served in an imperial nonic pint glass. Hazy caramel color with a thick, foamy white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is grassy hops, spices, toast, and caramel. Flavor is slight citrus with a strong caramel and biscuit flavor. Well balanced. It has sort of a metallic flavor that seems kind of odd, other than that an really fantastic beer for the style.

suurjuust (2236) - ESTONIA - JAN 5, 2016
Clear orange-ish amber beer, medium bubbly white head. Nose is pretty weak, but I can pick out some mildly toasty malt, hops in the background. Flavor is a mix of mild malt, some toast, finishes with earthy hop bitterness, but that too is pretty mild. Quaffable, but boring.

Bottle (from Drink Shop). Pours golden with whiteish head. The head stays for a long time. Aroma is sweet, malt, floral notes, fruits, some metallic notes. Flavor is sweet and bitter, malt, fruits, citrus, dusty hops, caramel. Finish is citric-dry bitter with some sweetness. Carbonation feels a bit high. Overall: good brew.

Hippoman (519) - Durham, ENGLAND - JAN 1, 2016
550ml Bottle from The Colpitts, Durham, £3.80. Pours reddish mid-amber with a lasting, bubbly, off-white head and moderate carbonation. The nose is pleasant enough with sweet, soapy and light floral character. The taste is largely bitter with crunch, skunky citrus, tropical fruit and earthy flavours. Nice.

Great translucent orange with off-white head. Medium body and carbonation.

Aroma: clean toasty malt and citrus floral hops..
Taste: more amber malt character than expected or than i prefer, but still a great example with great history and balance.

Pint draught (keg) @ Lord Argoyle, Soho, London. Really big, thick head, sparkling, chilled.Taste has malts as in bitter but no bitter ending. I would rather call it dry, not bitter. Quite good.

ajnepple (4370) - Colorado, USA - DEC 28, 2015
12 oz single bottle into a pint glass, purchased at Hy-Vee Wine & Spirits - Muscatine. Orange to amber and clear in appearance with a small, light tan head that lingers. Aroma of caramel malt, toffee, earthy hops, grass, light pine and light herbal notes. Similar flavor, malty, toasty, light husky/grainy and somewhat rich with mild sweetness and a mild hop bitterness. Medium body with a lingering, light dry finish. Balanced and easy to drink, but a little boring overall.

Amber. Nose of light candied malt with gentle citrus hops. Flavor is soft citrus bitterness with mildly sweet toasted malt. Clean, lightly bitter finish.

hauxe (165) - Butzbach, GERMANY - DEC 26, 2015
Rated from old notes. A robust, medium bodied brew, copper in color, that maintains a smooth, creamy head throughout. Slightly sour over the tongue, fruity, with a pleasant strain of hops. Just a hint of alcohol warmth. Well balanced and very drinkable.

Alpha10 (493) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 25, 2015
2015/12/25 - Pours a clear, orange-copper colour with a thick, frothy, off white head that slowly reduces and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is earthy/grassy hops, light caramel, apple and biscuit. Taste is earthy hops, light apple/citrus notes, earthy hops and mild biscuit. Mouthfeel is medium with average carbonation and a drying, lightly bitter finish. Drinkable, but nothing special. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
