Bottle. Pours deep gold with big fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with no discernible hops. Taste is sweet caramel malt and light fruits. Again, no real hop profile. Palate is smooth and delicate. Seems to be relatively well-crafted but a little bland for my tastes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: amber beer with small carbonation and small white foam. Smell: nice hoppy nose with grassy and caramel balanced. Taste: nice balanced of malt and hops. Strong caramel taste. Aftertaste: nice wet bitterness.

clear, darker amber colour, huge, stable yellowish off-white head;aroma of biscuit, caramel, floral-honey notes as well as overripe fruits, like apple and pear; taste is the same; really great ESB with a very tricky name

550ml. Pours a slightly opaque, pale amber, orange colour with an effervescent white head which quickly dissipated leaving a trace of lace. Gentle caramel malt aroma with some citrus. Underlying light sweetness, tangy bitterness in the middle with a very long, mildly bitter finish. Quite dry, creamy texture, medium to full body. Not a beer I would rave about but decent enough in its own way.

Drinkable, but not one of my favorite from the wonderful selection from Samuel Smith's wonderful brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pint bottle at Beer Station, Xiamen. Pours light brown with a white head. Aroma of pine. Has a raw edge to it.

Appearance is deep brown, much like the bottle it comes in. Taste is tangerine, floral, caramel sweet and bitter on the finish. Head is lively. Nice ale that has a decent taste profile.

550 ml bottle. Slightly hazy amber orange color. Big rocky off white head. Fruity toasted malt aroma has notes of caramel and tangerines and a floral hoppiness. Tart citrusy malt flavor has a spicy hop backdrop. Hints of grapefruit peel and black pepper lie on the tongue. Finishes quite bitter, but much different than our American IPA’s. Quite nice though.
