4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is absolutely delicious. I cannot believe I have passed it over time and time again. I have never had an ipa that was just so in your face with melon and apple in the aroma. Cantaloupe, honey dew and crisp apple just crush it, it smells so fucking good. Taste is sweet melon with a massive white wine taste. Iíve had a few ipaís with a big white wine quality but this one is huge. I was worried this was going to be a gigantic sweet, malty, messy nasty weird bomb of a beer but itís so good and while a little pricey, definitely worth it for how good this is. I love that this is the origin of my favorite style of beer, totally a great surprise. Cheers!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
550 ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.
Clear amber colour; Two finger head and crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Very good sticky lacing with fizzy carbonation; Fragrant and sweet aroma of rich ale malt, with strong caramel, toffee, plums, light raisins, dark fruits, sugar, bread, strong yeast, lemon and thin grass; Close to light sweet taste of moderate ale malt, with very light dark fruits, faint red fruits, light molasses, light caramel, bread, strong yeast, light earth lemon, moderate to light bitter hops and herbal grass; Close to light body. Slick and quite smooth palate; Mouth feel is very malty in a rather thin body. Strong caramel in background for the amber colour but lesser in taste. Fruitiness is low but testable. Low sweet as in molasses. Very yeasty with bits of earthy notes. Strong lemony herbal hops to round. Nice!.... Hoppiness is light lemon and light grass in nose, more so in taste with earthy notes. Bitterness is moderate for a lasting, close-to-mid astringent malty finish; Quite dry after taste malty and bitter to mouth.
Comments: I like this one quite a lot. As ESB, itís very malty, with good caramel and sweet nose, less so to the tongue with good lemony herbal hoppiness. Clean, simple and impressive. A nice bitter!

Short lived head atop a golden brew. A lovely hoppy aroma from this beer. A gently hoppy and smooth taste. Best served ice cold. Hugely drinkable!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Strong toffee maltiness in the aroma with some tea and herbal hops. Deep orange color, thin beige crown. Toffee malt thoughout the flavor with some notes of tea, herbal hops and a floral finish. Mild bitterness. Medium body, quite smooth. This is an excellent English style IPA and is a great change from all of the American citrus hop bombs.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle from Epsom Circle Market, Epsom, NH. Aroma is slightly metallic--like a bunch of coins sitting in a jar. Or like rotting food that needs to be brought out to the compost bin. Appearance is hazy orange-gold with two-finger frothy head that dissipates relatively quickly. Trace sparkling and light lacing. Taste is mild--only slightly sweet and bitter, but mainly sour. Palate is light-medium and texture is mostly thin with slight creaminess. Finish is bitter. Overall, not my cup of tea. I canít really comment whether this is good for the style or not--I think this is just not my style. Disappointing. Most stuff from this brewer I like.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
550 ml bottle. Aroma is malty, fruity (apples), characteristic of the brewery. Pours clear copper with a thick beige head with decent retention; leaves some lace. Taste is sweet and malty, finishing with a lightly bitter hop bite. Ok.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2015 18.7 oz bottle- Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a large white head that slowly reduces. Aroma is earthy, floral, minerals similar to all Sam Smith beers, some peppery spice. Taste is caramel malts, citrusy, minerals, lightly hopped. Carbonation is medium and body is medium. Better than i thought it would be, love their stouts and porters, but am pretty accustomed to American IPAís, this isnít as intense and in your face as those, but this isnít too bad.
