3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured into a glass stein. Copper to amber color with a white-barely-there head.
Wow. I cannot pick up anything... okay, a slight malty/musty smell.
Malty sweetness at first, then bitter, slightly citrus flavor. The malt and hops are fairly balanced.
Medium body, moderate carbonation. Very bubbly in the mouth.
Quite different from most American IPAs. Or maybe American IPAs are different from English IPAs. Either way, it is more malty than most IPAs I’ve had. The only hangup was the smell, or lack of. It was tasty and different.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I suppose this is what an old school IPA should be before the Americans wan away with the hope. This is a mellow ale with some slight hood bitterness. Very refreshing and session able.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 20/20
I firmly believe one of the worlds best beers. Not at all like an American IPA. It has a totally different hop character thanks to British hops. It's actually one of the most well balanced hoppy beers you'll find.
