jainsv (112), USA Oct 22, 2006 If you’re a fan of IPA’s, then this is one of the best ones. The aroma is typical of IPA’s, which is too hoppy for me. The taste is very bitter and teh flavor definately tastes heavily of hops. Not the best beer for everyone, because of the strong bitter/hops flavor that not everyone will appreciate. Solid for what it is though.
shanepardue (72), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Aug 16, 2008 A little weak on the hops with a sour sweetness. Not one of my favorites of this brewer, but not bad. I’m not big on the sour flavor and prefer more of a hoppy IPA. NomDeBeer (129), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Aug 14, 2008 Another mild IPA; low in hops and alcohol. Good beer, completely drinkable. It’s an entry-level IPA for people new to the style, but for a confirmed hop-head, this won’t do it. unclemike (328), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Aug 7, 2008 A nice brew. Has a sweet flavor and aroma while still having a deep hoppy texture. Appearance is cloudy and dark brown. Overall a nice beer with a solid base to it and a nice aftertaste timsilvia32 (183), born in Michigan, North Carolina, USA Aug 6, 2008 Cloudy copper pour, white head. Floral aroma, some caramel maltiness. Adequately carbonated, earthy, slight citrus and toffee/caramel. Some bitterness throughout and clean at the finish. Had 3 other beers before this and this one really seemed to increase the effects for being only 5% abv. A good example of the style, not the best however. drfood (11), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 3, 2008 Thoroughly pleasant but not very loveable. Mild hop bitterness, with an odd mouth-feel. The finish was something like orange flower water and this was oddly out of step with the cheddar cheeses on the board for this tasting. Not bad, but I’ll take a dogfish head anytime.
