Cakes (383) - New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2013
Poured from 550 ml bottle. Not an overpowering India Ale, pleasant, mellow. Clear, orange-copper with large, billowy cream-colored head and excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel, grain and honey. Mild and not complex with no noticeable hop aroma. Taste of caramel, biscuit, pine, and floral hops with bitter, piney finish and a metallic, limey aftertaste. Very strange. With Medium body, medium carbonation and a very nice mouthfeel. This is a classic.

12 oz bottle. It pours golden with a small white head. It has the aroma of hay and cereal. It has the flavors of honey, nuts, caramel, a floral taste with a subdued but pleasant hop bitterness. This is a very nice beer. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had from this brewery.

AdiBeer (1758) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 17, 2015
Aroma: bread, grain malts, light caramel, some straw. Appearance: clear amber, medium, frothy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: grain malts continue, straw and hay again, remains lightly bitter, lively carbonation, slightly dry touch to the finish. Overall: OK ESB, yet falls short due to a lack of intensity and complexity. Bottle from Utobeer, London Bridge.

Bottle - amber with a big foamy light brown head. Aroma of caramel and light fruits. Taste of caramel, roasted malts, light grass and some bitterness. Medium body, low carbonation.

Piana nieduża, średnio pęcherzykowa, szybko opada do kożuszka. Barwa jasno bursztynowa, klarowna, ładnie "pracuje" w szkle. W aromacie mizernie, raczej przypomina to lekko ziołowego jasnego lagera. Nagazowanie średnie do wysokiego, drobne, lekkie rozgrzewanie alkoholowe.

Fantastic IPA. I think it gets the balance of a classic IPA right. So many are trying to see who can out-hop the other, and this has a nutty fruity taste that is refreshing while still a nice bitterness.

12oz bottle pours and orange amber with small off white head. Smell orange and spice. Has a smooth crisp clean taste then bitter at very end. Not hoppy as was expecting, which I prefer. Nice with fruit and cheese, more of a appetizer beer.

Bottle at home. Pours clear copper, no head. Aroma is caramel malts, a bit of pine, slight grains, hay. Taste is toasted caramel malts, a bit of grass. Pretty plain and underwhelming. Light body, low carbonation. Watery. Not a good beer, I’m not sure if this is a super old bottle or what.

Crystal golden colour. Slightly pungent & pruney aroma. While mouth feel. Balanced & subtle flavour. Surprisingly malty for an ipa.

Tolle orange-kupferne Farbe. Würzig und stark gehopft im Geschmack. Lang anhaltend bitter.

Bottle from Fyne Wines, Argyll. Pours clear copper-orange with decent (and lasting) white head, slight fizz; Initial sweet caramel malt aromas with dry hay, turmeric & garam marsala spices and hints of root beer; Good body, not too light or too heavy, very smooth; Flavours follow aroma with more soft spices and subtle grapefruit bitterness, apricot and peach stone fruits. Lovely balance and flavours and drinkability, I cannot fault this beer as it exceeded my expectations many times over. Perfection? Almost!
