| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Sep 3, 2008 When I was at the store looking at the different pints of beer I had not tried yet, and I saw this particular one. "Nut Brown Ale. . .?" I thought to myself. I have not had much experience with brown ales, but I was willing to give this one a shot. Right from the pour I knew it was going to be a great beer. It has such a beautiful enriched color in the glass. The aroma of it. . . seriously, why has somebody not made a candle that smells exactly like this beer? The only problem I had with the Nut Brown Ale was that the excellent flavor of hazelnuts a hint of caramel and so forth did not last very long at all. I finished the pint before I knew it. Overall, I would buy it again, and it definitely sparked my interest in brown ales more. Thanks Samuel Smith!
