Quack-Duck (3129), Bodensee/Schwarzwald, Germany Sep 14, 2008 bottle from Darts Farm. Hazy amber coloured with a large beige head. Fruity nose. Full-bodied, pleasantly hoppy throughout, very aromatic. Solid malty flvours with hints of caramel and berries. Une biere crémeuse et plus carbonisé qui se termine sec. bblack99 (196), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Sep 4, 2008 Bottle pours a clear reddish-brown with cream-colored head that dissolves quickly. Smooth flavor with a hint of nuttiness, with just a bit of aftertaste. Jarrid (20), Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA Sep 3, 2008 When I was at the store looking at the different pints of beer I had not tried yet, and I saw this particular one. "Nut Brown Ale. . .?" I thought to myself. I have not had much experience with brown ales, but I was willing to give this one a shot. Right from the pour I knew it was going to be a great beer. It has such a beautiful enriched color in the glass. The aroma of it. . . seriously, why has somebody not made a candle that smells exactly like this beer? The only problem I had with the Nut Brown Ale was that the excellent flavor of hazelnuts a hint of caramel and so forth did not last very long at all. I finished the pint before I knew it. Overall, I would buy it again, and it definitely sparked my interest in brown ales more. Thanks Samuel Smith! Bragesnak (2223), Aarhus, Denmark Sep 1, 2008 From Superbest, Aarhus, DK.
Bottled.
Brown with small head. Aroma of caramel and malt. Flavor is nutty malt and toffee. Blom (390), Odense, Denmark Aug 29, 2008 Brown with a low head. Aroma of hazel nuts, biscuits and berries. The flavour is bitter and roasted - quite balanced, but perhaps also a bit watery and boring. Finn (1422), Tromsø, Norway Aug 28, 2008 Bottle 0,355l. Dark brown colored. An ok fluffy head lasting for a few minutes. Inviting nutty aroma. Flavor of caramel with a touch of sherry. Not much bitterness but a lasting nutty and fruity aftertaste. KI=7
