The hops are a little weak but the germ soaks through the barley and with a hint of walnut, it turns its Arizona tint into a Colorado Mountain. mattmc1973 (302), Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Pours a red/dark brown with a frothy head that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, nut, and a wine scent. Taste of coffee, roasted nuts, with a bit of a bitter bite at the end. Dry mouthfeel, with medium carbonation. A nice brown ale. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 13, 2008 Pours a dark reddish brown with a nice creamy tan head. Aroma is very malty and fruity with some nutty chocolate notes. Flavor starts very nutty and rich malty and through the finish the fruitiness like raisins become more apparent. Kind of a slight bitterness lingers, but in a good way. Good all around brown ale and a very rich body and creamy mouthfeel. ironchefscott (342), portland, Oregon, USA

Pours with a nice almost nitrous head and releases great nutty, chocolate and caramel aroma. Taste backs up the aroma and finish makes you want more. Excellent beer that I would recommend to anyone. phishpond417 (1914), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
