| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Nose is a big whiff of alcohol (supprising for such a low abv beer) at the start which quickly disappeared. Caramel, burned caramel, lighty earthiness and just a hint of floral round out the aroma. Beautiful light brown color with little head, some lacing. Flavor is full with the dark caramel really coming through. Just a touch of coffee flavor, toffee, nuts. Well bittered to balance the sweetness. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, I find this to be a trademark of style. Overall very enjoyable, and I will have it again. Better beer can be had for the money though. Will trade Lazy Magnolia and others. Message me! petzdrgonizbk (24), Tennessee, USA

Rerate 5/14/08: nose was still enjoyable, just more watery and mono focused in the caramel tongue. joeyplush (333), Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2008 This is an excellent beer, with hints of caramel, chocolate, and hazelnut, with an earthy, roasted flavor. Color is reddish brown, with a healthy tan head and good lacing. Flavor is warming and malty, with light sweetness, medium body, with a creamy head and a nice long finish. This is a great beer to enjoy by the fire on a winter evening! GJF (498), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA
