Dec 16, 2007 Pours a deep brown into the dimpled mug with a quick inch of tan head. Scents of spices, brown sugar and caramel. A very smooth and creamy mouthfeel with brown sugar, hazelnut and some malt becoming evident. A nice sessionable beer with an excellent, smooth finish.

Dec 15, 2007 Aroma is a nice malty caramel scent. Color is a bright amber with good carbonation and nice thick head. Taste is mild, malty and clean. Starting with a light/medium body it goes down with a very smooth feel. Finish comes in with a mellow roasted taste that has a light nuttiness to it, then it ends with a very light bitterness. After taste is clean leaving you with a faint dry feel. This may be the best Nut Brown I have ever had, its clean and refreshing with a nice nutty roasted flavor.

Dec 14, 2007 Poured a brown color with moderate head. Went down smooth, but not much too it. Lacked on flavor and body. Very disappointed. Would not recommed.

Dec 13, 2007 Hmm. Not as good as I remember the first time I tried it. Actually I remember being in love with it at the time. However this time around Im not overly impressed. Aroma is weak compared to Rogue’s Nut Brown Nectar. Again the taste failes against Rogue’s Nut Brown. The hazelnut comes out most at the beginning but tappers off and leaves a bitter after taste. Pours real beautiful though.

Dec 10, 2007 Hmmmm.. I just didn’t get this one. It looked like a winner when I poured it. Nice deep brown, big fluffy head...
Malty smell with just a trace of nuttiness to it.
I just don’t like the taste of it. Maybe it’s the style. I tried the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar and it tasted pretty much like this one. Flat and watery. It might have had a hint of hazelnut flavor to it, but it wasnt much.
Probably won’t have this one again, but I wanted to try it.

Dec 10, 2007 Pretty good brown ale, more complex than other Brit browns I’ve had, light malt, light hops, some brown sugar taste evident. I don’t get the hazelnuts in the taste but I do like the balance.

Dec 9, 2007 Pours a light brown, even kind of transparent. Light malty and nutty aroma, with a flavor that was very similar. It was an okay brown ale, not my favorite.
