ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Feb 24, 2007 Updated: May 18, 2007Very nutty taste. Dark amber color that is almost black. Small, carmel colored head that dissapates quickly. Great rich smell to it. Bitter aftertaste but not bold enough foretaste. Decent. jeepmischief (13), New York, USA Feb 20, 2007 Possibly my faorite beer. Its great and sometimes winey flavor is aged magically. I love this beer. Few beers actually put a smile on my face just because i’m drinking it Just LOVE it!! hayduke (1619), Eureka, California, USA Feb 19, 2007 Poured dark brown with a tan head that left average lacing. Big nose of roasted malts and caramel. Mouthfeel nice and rich and a nice bitter finish with a hint of hops. Overall a very nice brew. bluesman42@gmailcom (43), Arkansas, USA Feb 18, 2007 A little soft on the palate, but nice and malty. Very much what I expect from a nut-brown. The color is great, the flavors are really nice, and the head is soft and white and fluffy. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Feb 17, 2007 Roasted malt aroma, but not burnt roasted. Arguably a bit nutty. Not smelling hop. Ruby copper color with a huge beige head that sticks. It laces. Starts with a nutty malty flavor. Mouthfeel is medium. The nuttiness really kicks in. The malt comes and goes. It lasts for a lengthy finish. There is some hop bitterness towards the very end, but the malt stays right along with it. Slayer85 (582), Firenze, Italy Feb 15, 2007 Bottled. A dark amber beer with a little head. The aroma is nutty, malty and roasted, while the flavour is sweet with roasted, nutty and caramel notes. Medium body and quite long finish. Good. Canadianlush (169), Scottsdale, Arizona, USA Feb 14, 2007 I enjoyed this one from Mr. Smith. Pours a very dark brown, though even with an aggressive pour the head vanished on me. Very bitter with hints of chocolate, roasted nuts and barley. Smooth and tight. Well worth the $4.00. VikingHammer (362), Lynnfield, Massachusetts, USA Feb 12, 2007 Pours a deep brown with a hint of red. Head was a tan color. Slight aromas of vanilla. Tastes of vanilla and roasted malts. Almost no carbonation.
