COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at Samuel Smith’s small, traditional British brewery with well water (the original well sunk in 1758 is still in use), best barley malt, roasted barley, yeast and aromatic hops. Nut Brown Ale is relatively dry with a rich amber-brown colour and nutty flavour derived exclusively from small amounts of dark malt. Brown ales are a specialty of northern England. Fermented in ’stone Yorkshire squares’.

Caoba, brillante. Deja pasar la luz ligeramente. Bonita espuma ligeramente manchada y bastante consistente.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into an english pint glass; thin aroma to go with a thin, tight head; nice, dark cola brown color; almondy nuttiness flavorings; medium body; overall, a pleasant, comfortable brown ale.

First English beer I had, not a bad brown ale, but no better than cheaper US made brown ales.

Aroma: Roast, some fruit, fresh nuts Appearance: Dark red, almost ruby like. head is brown and very nice. Flavor: Similar to aroma but a bit of roasted malts as well as a bit of wood. Palate: Some dryness and sweetness with some other background flavors, mix of stuff. Very nice A personal inexpensive favorite

Clear brown pour with thin tan foam. Aroma of caramel and biscuit with a slight, not-unpleasant astringency. Flavor is remarkably balanced - sweet caramel malt offset by a semi-dry nutty finish. This is smooth and delicious. A favorite of the style.

Color is brown with tan head. Aroma of nuts, caramel. Taste is sweety, with lightly bitter finish. Very good beer, but I’m missing something, maybe a bit stronger taste.
