Caramel aroma with nutty and lightly metallic notes. Caramel and woody flavours with an earthy and lightly fruity bitter finish. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Better than Newcastle, but that’s not saying much. SuperDave70 (1158), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA

Again the nuts are very noticable in the taste, much more so than Rogues. A beer you have to be in the mood for. gws57 (1151), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA

Aroma is malts and hops with the slightest air of nuts. Taste is malty with some hazelnuts. I also get a weak coffee in the somewhat bitter finish. Samuel Smiths has other beers I would consider before this. From notes. ericandersnavy (1150), crossroads, Texas, USA
