COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at Samuel Smith’s small, traditional British brewery with well water (the original well sunk in 1758 is still in use), best barley malt, roasted barley, yeast and aromatic hops. Nut Brown Ale is relatively dry with a rich amber-brown colour and nutty flavour derived exclusively from small amounts of dark malt. Brown ales are a specialty of northern England. Fermented in ’stone Yorkshire squares’.

Yeasty malty slightly sweet aroma. Dark red amber with thick off white head. Tons of lacing. Nothing to write home about. Not bad. A little more bitterness than I expected. Nothing else really stands out.

drink cool 10-14°C. Eye: pours a cola brown color with a rather quickly dissipating white to beige head and medium to low carbonation. Nose: sweets, cassis, berries Mouth: wild berries, hops and nutty malts Palate: milky, oat meal, somehow dusty, and nuts as well as nut shells and leaves Overall: nice beer, not as chewy as I expected it to be.

Nut-browncolour with a fine off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, some caramel, hazelnuts, walnuts and somewhat dried fruit develop. Light carbonation, light slick and medium-full bodied. Nutty sweetness offers also hints for a light floralness. Medium finish.

Caoba, brillante. Deja pasar la luz ligeramente. Bonita espuma ligeramente manchada y bastante consistente.
