COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at Samuel Smith’s small, traditional British brewery with well water (the original well sunk in 1758 is still in use), best barley malt, roasted barley, yeast and aromatic hops. Nut Brown Ale is relatively dry with a rich amber-brown colour and nutty flavour derived exclusively from small amounts of dark malt. Brown ales are a specialty of northern England. Fermented in ’stone Yorkshire squares’.

Pours a nice caramel with a beautiful head. First taste is a strong carbonation but after a few minutes, the taste blossoms with a great, drinkable sweet taste and texture.

Dark, rich, deep flavours with a nutty and bitter finish. Very drinkable. One of Sam Smith's better brews. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Brown with a tinge of red, little head. Medium body. Aroma of malt and strong tea, accompanied by over-ripe fruit in the taste. Nuttiness comes in mostly at the end. Very good.

Bottle 355 ml. Pours mahogny in color with a tan head. Dark bready dough, roasted malts and nutty notes in aroma. Malty notes in taste, some sweetness is present but also some dark chocolatey vibes are there as well. Dry, slightly nutty finish.

0.55 bottle. Clear, brown color with a reddish tinge and a small, off-white head. Malty aroma of chocolate, wood, nuts, coupled with slight earthy and leathery tones. Taste strikes a balance between malts and hops as it introduces some herbal tones and a generally fresher sensation. Medium body, creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Finish generally follows the taste with its malty-herbal forest blend. Overall the beer is alright but it lacks a strong, definitive taste; much the same can be said about the finish which is mediocre at best.

Pours a nice dark brown color with tan head. Nuts, roasted malt, and caramel malt on the nose; follows onto the palate. Very nutty on the finish.

A nutty taste with desent aftertaste full malty taste and hoppy aroma. I think it isnt as good as samuel smiths imperial stout but a decent one.
