Good brew, very similar to newcastle, but a little thicker and with a little more taste.

Sweet, nutty, rich. Rather decadent version of the style.

The color of good whiskey. Nice creamy head. ’Come hither’ aroma. Smooth and malty, the hops catch you towards the end. The SS brewmaster is just a little lower than the angels. Fill up the bumper and quaff the good cheer...

Again, Samuel Smiths has not failed to please. This beer has a very dry, nutty flavor that is very fitting. Light hop, smooth malt flavor. This beer is well worth a try for something a little different.

Yet another fine brew by this brewery, smooth and nutty, perfect brown ale. It’s my second favorite brown, behind Newcastle. Great brew!

The nutty aroma and strong roasted body leave no doubt that this is the leader of the pack as far as brown ales are concerned. A much, much better alternative to New Castle.

Quality in every way, except for the clear bottle. Excellent mouth feel. Deep brown/red colour. Light head with good lacing. Good flavour of light nuts, malt and hops. The big bottle is empty way too fast as is the glass.
