No visible carbonation. A nice even aroma, can get a whiff of malt and wheat and a smigen of mild hops - what a beer should smell like. Light on the mouth with a dry finish. Well balanced flavor to match the perfect aroma. Slightly sweet, nutty, then an amount of hops to finish ever so smooth. A leader in a great easy to drink old style. Pinnhead (93), New Jersey, USA

Aroma of bright, steely old world must and aged hops. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors of crisp yet creamy malt, oak fruit, slight tobacco, pine. Finish has a perfect balanced bittering. Good stuff. Not too dry. Highly recommended. ndfreak77 (76), USA

A average head with cloudy body that busts out the nutty earth that is brown sugar meeting up with an oak tree. subcell (95), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA

Brown appearance with a good silky texture and lacing. Excellent aroma. The nutty flavor comes out nicely with a bitter finish. My 2nd favorite brown ale to Rogue and yet another fine brew from Sam Smith.
