Bottle. Really nice "Brown Ale". I’ve not drank alot of this style but this one was good. Great mild, malty flavor. Just a touch of hops. Overall, I highly recommend this one.

Very nutty aroma. Pours amber-brown. Head laces nicely. Feels good in the mouth, with more body than some brown ales. The taste is complicated, and muty, of course. Nice clean finish, with a lovely aftertaste that llingers a while.

Where do I start, the first aroma to hit my nose was a soy sauce smell. That did it for me, where I drained the bottle and went-on to the next beer.

At the tasting session by Joes. A dark amber colored beer, with a light beige head. The aroma of amber and chocolate malts and raisins. The taste of dry chocolate, dark fruits, prune and date. It has some sweetness. The aftertaste is a little woody and a little bitter.

Well I feel a little confused about this one. Usually I agree with what I read and hear from people at this website. But for some reason this one just didn’t sit smoothly with me. Very thick and nutty flavor. It almost reminded me of Sam’s Triple Black. (which is nothing short of horrible). I usually like this type of flavor and style. Maybe it was skunked ( there is no expiration date on it) and that explains such a pungent taste. I’m going to go with that excuse!

A great brown ale that finishes smooth and is full of flavor. Very easy to find at most liquor stores, so I suggest you pick it up next time you are in there. A solid brown ale.
