BruceLeroy (68), North Dakota, USA Jun 1, 2002 Great liquorice and cream flavor, some toasted oats in the smell and aftertaste. A little bit sweeter than it should be. It seemed a little watered down, but just the right amount of carbonation. Unfortunately you could never get drunk off of the stuff because it’s too weak/expensive. The weakness and thinness in this one is not really what you would expect from a stout.
craftycarl21 (120), USA Jul 25, 2008 pours similarly to sam smith’s taddy porter, but with a lighter colored head and more lacing. Decent aroma- chocolate, coffee, sweet notes. Flavor is greatttt- malty deliciousness. Phenomonally smooth. Great beer, especially considering its common availability. Tweety (159), Boston, Massachusetts, USA Jul 25, 2008 The ultimate example of this style. Sweet and smooth and tasty. Ubiquitous, one of the best beers you can get basically the world over. DrDavid (20), , Vermont, USA Jul 22, 2008 550 ml bottle. Very dark pour. Mild clean aroma. Refreshing and easy to drink. Quite light, thin and mild overall, but with a prolonged pleasing aftertaste. greenleaf (78), Florida, USA Jul 19, 2008 Bottle 12 oz. Pours deep brown with a small light brown head. Nose is sweet malt with some roasted notes. Taste is smooth and light with the oats finishing up the taste well. After taste is very pleasing. nathan30533 (21), Dahlonega, Georgia, USA Jul 18, 2008 Pours very dark, with a light brown/white head. Great overall flavor, definatly taste the oats. Smooth finish. I am impressed and will have again. Aroma is not overwellming but the aroma that hits the nose is that of a good stout. Again very impressed.
