| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Bottle. Poured a dark copper. Much deeper in color than most other pale ales. Big creamy off-white head that laces nicely. Weak nose of sweet malt and fruit, slight hints of hops. Tastes of caramel malt and balanced nicely with a micld hop finish. Pretty sweet overall. Not as many hops in this beer as an american pale ale. But it is a very typical English style beer that I would definitely recommend. It is better than Bass. lane1222 (10), Portland, Oregon, USA

The color is a little darker than most Pale Ales I’ve tried. It does have a nice foamy tan head and a lot of lace on the glass. The aroma is mild. Not as hoppy as other Pale Ales. I get some malt and spices in the flavor with a hoppy finish accompanied with a shot of sour fruits. Decent.
