Captures the soul of beer. It has a maltiness that reminds you that beer is a product of the soil. Balance of malt and hops.

Bottle. Pour a reddish amber a little cloudy with an off white head. Aroma was sweet and a bit yeast/doughy malt aroma with some fruit. Flavor was a smooth malt taste with a little hop crispness.

Bottle... Poured a foggy ruby with an off-white head. Malt and wine-like aroma. Smooth palate with flavors of cocoa, toasted malt, toffee and subtle hops that make it really nice. Pretty tasty. Sorta leafy malt in the finish.

Sweet aroma, slightly fruity, with the doughines of yeast thrown in. Nice brown/red appearance. The flavor is malty, the finish has a crispness in it, mainly due to hops. Medium mouthfeel. Decent beer overall.

550ml bottle. dark amber brown...looks good in the light of the sun. a little hoppy and bitter. i expected it to taste stronger by it’s appearance. slightly malty and really smooth...not a very deep palate though.

Average color, the mouthfeel was much less than expected. I have to say this was a good beer but thats it, good. I would drink this again, but I won’t go out of my way to get it. Solid choice for someone looking to expand their tastes from the mass brewed.

Nice for an English ale. There is a slight bittery hop flavor that is well-balanced by the malts. Not too heavy - pleasantly drinkable.

Can’t smell much in this brew from the bottle. Just slightly darker than a typical american pale lager, a little more brownish like light iced tea. Barely any carbonation. Taste is laid back and easy to enjoy. Quite nice for a pale ale but now I see it is actually an ESB on this site. Not too much bitter personality tho it does possess a hint. Almost as well behaved as a lager and more so than a pilsner. Overall, not bad. An ’ale’ I can accept. As an ESB, it’s one of the better ones I’ve tasted.

Bottled. Have never gotten around to rating this and was pleasantly surprised because I had forgotten what it tastes like. Anyway it is a coppery colored with some malts, very light and very drinkable, am torn between the lack of hops and bitterness being bad or pleasant.
